Plant Manager tier one/two stamping and assembly plant.

Report directly to company president; manage the daily planning and direction of all direct and indirect employees. Discuss and facilitate several daily meeting related to production, labor, scrap, customer schedule and inventory. Monitor sales trends and adjust labor accordingly. Enforce all lean manufacturing processes, principles, and maintenance, quality and safety issues.

• Developed two new manufacturing lines for new car additions. Using lean manufacturing foot prints for efficient use of manpower and material flow that created optimal one piece flow with consistent production volume and quality.

GKN AEROSPACE Tallassee, Al 2005-2010

Operations Manager: GE-90/115B JET ENGINES. Oversaw the generation of maximum profitability and ensured full production levels were met while simultaneously performing safety, quality, cost, and inventory management within operating budget constraints. Supervised and directed all employee disciplinary and training programs, safety programs, and plant improvement projects.

Ground floor start up for GE-90 jet engine program, including logistics, planning, scheduling, work instructions, employee placement and scheduling. Area now maintains highest quality, profit and 100% delivery of any program in plant .Awarded GE president award for best engine start up.

Established visual management and 5s techniques in all production areas with employee involvement and buy-in reduced tact time and improved quality by 20% overall. Areas now used as model for entire plant.

PEMCO AEROPLEX Birmingham, Al 2002-2005

Supervised production line operation for KC-135/P-3 aircraft. Also responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignment, back up for absent employees, and shift rotations.

Supervisor over major structure repair and overhaul for KC-135. Supervised 177 employees in major structural repairs including, skin changes, ring frame replacements and sheet metal repair.

Supervisor Manufacture of sheet medal panels, wing spars and stringers for P-3 Naval Aircraft.

U.S Navy 1982-2002

Held full responsibility for managing 12 work centers and 110 team members in repair/maintenance of 12 F/A-18 Strike Fighter aircraft. Planned and scheduled maintenance (including offsite major re-work and overhaul) incorporated Air Worthiness Directives, tracked and scheduled High Time Components replacements, conducted aircraft inspections, and updated Aeronautical Logbooks. Informed relevant team members on air craft status and readiness. Trained, mentored, and evaluated personnel. Oversaw detachment logistics, including personnel, transportation and resources.
