Operations Manager 2008-June 2016

Responsible for managing approximately 30 employees, including hiring, developing, and providing disciplinary action when needed. Responsible for the Human Resource activities by scheduling and working with Union representatives on employee negotiations, including designing the contract which is currently followed. Controlled the operations of wire and chain development. Responsible for quality management, including testing devises to meet OSHA standards. Worked in partnership with Crosby Group to design the quality control manual for the entire company to ensure safety and OSHA standards are meet in every aspect of the company in order to become a certified welding station. Since the implementation of the quality control manual, the company has been issued the highest quality control rating in the country. Created a mobile testing department in which employees were sent to customers to test devises on sight. Developed a drop off and tracking system for repair items to ensure customers were receiving timely deliveries. Worked in partnership with the State of Illinois to design a delivery log and spreadsheet system for company drivers to record mileage for multi-state transportation. The logging system was used to determine Illinois and Missouri fuel taxes. Designed a layout of the warehouses for inventory control and opened floor space for needed testing equipment. The inventory control system enabled the company to establish two testing benches which were able to test 350,000 pounds horizontally and 500,000 pounds, vertically, which is unique to this area, along with a mobile test bench with the capacity to test up to 100,000 pounds. Due to the success of the inventory control, I was placed in charge of the set up of the test benches and quoting pricing to customers and the sales force. Worked with other departments to streamline the production of round slings, straps, and hoists in order to make the process more efficient.
