Discovery Communication. Broadcast Engineer/Digital Media Engineer (2014 to Present): Support Latin America systems, Broadcast, MAM, Transcode, Storage, Transfer Data. Responsible for configuration, preventive and corrective maintenance of computer equipment with regards to the Digital Media systems as well as providing end-user support to Media Asset Management system and the post-production groups. Main responsibilities: Support, maintain and troubleshoot Asset Management Environments that pertain to the Automation and workflow of systems such as TMD Mediaflex, Telestream Vantage and FORK Production. Resolve support requests for post-production groups (Graphics, Editing, Audio, Encoding, QC Operations, AdSales, Media and Network Operations). Work directly with external Vendors and Developers in order to improve the Media Asset Management system, making suggestions to improve productivity and testing the changes in a QA environment before their final implementation. Maintain Spectra Logic T950 for digital Asset Backups and manage Front Porch Digital DIVA Archive that handles the tape library. Support and Maintain automation encoding/transcoding process utilizing Telestream Vantage system. Managing and providing support for Media file transfers from/to US and South American Regions thought Signiant servers. Create views, scripts, saved searches, wiki pages, SOPs and other operational aids for support personnel.
