Introduction

My personal mission statement is to enhance the public and media relations of organizations through

strategic communications, concise, informative and entertaining writing, editing and collateral creation

and the creative pitching of story ideas that engage the attention of media outlets across the spectrum.

With my years of public relations experience on behalf of clients ranging from hospitals to television

shows to race tracks, my ability to build and leverage relationships with media and clients, my award-

winning writing and content-creation skills and my experience as a spokesman for events, I possess the

skill set that enhances an organizations communications department.

Summary of Qualifications

Drove the inclusion of the Fallen Oak Golf Course in Biloxi, MS. on the Best-Of lists

in Golf Digest, Golfweek, GOLF Magazine and Travel & Leisure by producing

innovative collateral material and conducting extensive media outreach that boosted the

courses profile. Eventually, the MGM Resorts International course was selected as the

site of a PGA TOUR Champions event.

Delivered a more than 2,000% ROI for Windy Knoll GC in Springfield, Ohio on its golf-

cart hovercrafts by conducting national media campaign that resulted in stories on NPR,

ABC World News Tonight, the Associated Press, more than 20 radio interviews across

the country and the onsite presence of Golf Channel.

Managed and executed extensive six-week radio and TV interview tour for the Triple

Crown-winning horse American Pharoah (yes, thats the correct spelling), his jockey

Victor Espinoza and Hall-of-Fame trainer Bob Baffert. Notable hits included CBS This

Morning, Fox Business Channel, CNN, CNN International, ESPN-LA, Univision, ESPN

The Magazine and all five Los Angeles TV stations.

Served as a go-to for the Clinton Foundations Communications Staff on interview

requests for President Clinton, played an integral role in organizing the Presidents

appearances in the Humana Challenge Media Center, and assisted the Foundation on

Media Day collateral for the PGA Tours Humana Challenge.

Was a one-day champion on JEOPARDY!

Appeared on and defeated Ben Stein on Win Ben Steins Money.

Secured recognition as Sports Event of the Year for 2012 from prestigious trade publications

SportsBusiness Daily and SportsBusiness Journal as part of the public relations team that

promoted the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation.

Conducted proactive, sweeping publicity campaign on behalf of the Breeders Cup World

Championships at Santa Anita Park that resulted in two-day attendance figures of more than

90,000 for three consecutive years (2012-14).

Handled show publicist duties for CBS-Sports Networks Secret Golf With Steve Elkington.

Booked Steve on more than 30 top-50 market radio stations across the country, including the

nationally syndicated The Jim Rome Show and The Dennis Miller Show, and secured feature

story in GOLF Magazine.

2010-2015: Served on the board of the Scott Medlock/Robby Krieger Golf Invitational and All-

Star Concert. As media relations liaison, helped boost the charitable donations for beneficiary St.

Jude Childrens Research Hospital from $268,000 in 2013 to $405,000 in 2014 to more than

$500,000 in 2015. This is one of the most charitable golf tournaments in Southern California.
