THESIS/DISSERTATION
MS (Applied Zoology) thesis: "Effects of Mitochondrial DNA Variations on the
Occurrence of Diabetes Mellitus in selected South Indian Population". In this work
the prevalence of mtDNA mutations; rRNA, tRNA, and ND1 gene mutations in DM
patients of selected south Indian population were investigated. The results showed
the substitution of A3384G (ND1) G3316A (ND1) and T3202C (rRNA) mutations.
