Duties and Responsibilities
Support group in Ore Preparation Plant and Lime Stone Plant in pre commissioning and commissioning activities.
Conducted control loop checking and valve stroking together with Control Room Operators.
Assisted in testing and initial startup of Ore Preparation and Lime Stone Plant equipment’s such as mineral sizer (crusher), apron feeders, conveyors, scrubbers, vibrating screens, ball mill, horizontal impact crusher, cyclones, thickener and pumps.
Participated in trainings and SOP review for proper start-up and shutdown of the plant.
Understand P&ID and participate in the development of isolation lists to be used during maintenance and to be applied in PTW system.
Participated in training on PTW system (HS training permit acceptor, permit user, equipment preparer, confined space entry, working at heights, JSEA etc.) to ensure the health and safety of all workers and Environmental compliance..
Lead and trained Malagasy nationals to operate the plant safely and effectively as part of knowledge hand over.
Worked in a team environment to successfully, safely and efficiently operate equipment containing hazardous substances to achieve plant production targets.
Actively participated in tool box meetings and training sessions as required. Permits, blinding sheets, lock registry, etc. and ensure all work is carried other Task Prior To Operation for Commissioning and Start-Up

Responsible for the sampling of raw tails from the pond to the metallurgical laboratory.
Operates Falcon Concentrator.
Conducted sample preparation such as drying, rolling, splitting, pulverizing and crushing.
Prepared bottle test for the laboratory set-up of gold extraction.
Performed Titration for the determinations of cyanide strength in the solution.
Monitored pH of the solution and calculates make-up of cyanide to maintain cyanide strength.

Monitors and re-aligns conveyor belts and re-installed fallen rollers and idlers.

Harvested loaded carbon from CIL tank 1 going to elution column.
Performed acid washing, water rinsing, soaking using presoak solution (2% NaCN & 2% NaOH) prior for elution process.
Performed elution and electrowinning operation.
Harvested loaded cathodes, cleaned electrowinning cells and put new mild steel wool cathodes for the next operation.
Dried gold precipitates and sludge, mixed fluxes such as borax, silica, soda ash, sodium nitrate, fluorspar for the smelting process.
Replaced worn-out crucible of smelting furnace.
Educted barren carbon into pre- drier hopper.
Operates carbon reactivation kiln and pumped back reactivated carbon to CIL circuit.
