GDF-SUEZ Energy Now Engie, Uch Power Station, Dera Murad Jamali, Balochistan Pakistan October 2013 to still working as a Chemist in Uch(I) Power Plant 586 MW and Uch(II) power plant 404 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant.

DETAILS OF PLANT

Uch 1 power limited consists.

Three Gas Turbines MS GE 9E, 130MW.

One Triple pressure (HP, IP, LP,), Natural circulated, Heat Recovery Steam Generator. The HRSG produce superheated HP-steam and superheated LP-steam. Without supplementary firing.

One (1) Steam Turbine 196 MW, including Steam Turbine Bypass system.

Uch II power limited consists.

Two Gas Turbines PG 9171(E), 128MW.

One Triple pressure (HP, IP, LP,), Natural circulated, Heat Recovery Steam Generator. The HRSG produce superheated HP-steam and superheated LP-steam. Without supplementary firing.

One (1) Steam Turbine 133 MW, including Steam Turbine Bypass system.

Total capacity of Uch complex is. (586 MW + 404MW)= 990 MW.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnose process problems, bring into the notice of station chemist and prepare detailed work requests for rectification through Maximo work request system.

I am involved in documentation, reporting and budgeting.

Prepare and update analytical procedures, calibration of lab. Instruments.

Prepare monthly chemical stock report & order chemicals for routine chemical treatment.

Coordination with other departments in case of maintenance jobs.

Inspection of boiler drums & CW Condensers during annual Plant Shut down & prepare report for Operation Manager.

Dry and wet preservation of HRSG during plant outage.

Chemical dosing in flocculation tank with two clarifiers. Canal, clarified and potable water quality is monitored.

Demin water quality is checked for resin series exhaustion to optimize regeneration process.

Maintain quality of boiler water by external & internal treatment.

Chemical dosing is monitored to control scaling, corrosion and biological growth problems in cooling tower. Chemical cleaning of exchangers is monitored during down times.

RO plant is installed on CW blow down and evap. Cooler drain after pretreatment. The permeate water of RO plant is used as make up for cooling tower.RO feed and product water quality is monitored.

Sewage waste water treatment before drainage to evaporation pond.

Monitoring of plant effluents like sludge, waste water, flue gases, generator exhausts and preparation of monthly reports for onward submission to EPA.

Complete analysis of lubricating oils for pumps, turbines, compressors, engines etc. for their smooth operation and analysis of fuel and used oil for quality control.

Prepare standard and stock solution for online analyzers and chemical testing.

Basic knowledge to use Computer Languages and Tools:
