Position: STAFF NURSE

Department: PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Prioritize care & delegates work load & activities appropriately

Participating working under the supervision of supervisor & Work in-charge

Conducting rounds with doctors and carrying out order.

Preparing patients for various investigation like ultrasound chest, KUB, Abdomen, MRI, CT Scan, X – Ray, echocardiography, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy.

Attending the managing all emergency (CPR & defibrillation )

Maintaining proper inventories & accurate records & reports

Keeping the ward clean, tidy care of equipment and lines.

Participate in the patients discharge procedures

Procedure Assisted: Peritoneal dialysis, Intubation, Extubation, Starting Internal Jugular Line, Starting Subclavian Line, Starting Femoral Intravenous Line, Starting radial and femoral arterial line, Insertion of Chest Drainage Tube, Extra Ventricular Drainage, Catheterization, Wound drain removal, Changing portex metal tracheostomy tube, Suturing of the wound, Suture removal, Appling neck collar, Bone Marrow aspiration, Lumbar Puncture, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Brain Death Protocol etc., Central venous pressure monitoring, Bladder pressure monitoring, Temperature probe monitor, Arterial Blood Pressure Monitoring and ETCo2 monitoring.

Equipment Familiar: Siemens 300-A, 900A, Survey 1, HFO Ventilator, BIPAP’S, NIV,

Cardiac Monitor, Dash monitor (I,II,IV), HP Monitor, Pulse Oxymeter, Philips Monitor, Infusion Pump, Agila pump, Atom pump, Pilot pump, Body guard pump, Ultra Sonic Nebulizer, Ambu Bag, Mask (peep value), NRM mask, LMA, Laryngoscope, Glucometer, Suction Machine, Oxygen Cylinder, Sphygmomanometer, Incentive Spirometers, CGMS (Continue glucose monitoring system ) and vein viewer.
