Health and Safety Manager

Provided Safety oversight and managed the Corporate Health and Safety program for multinational operations involving 10 facilities and over 2900 union and non-union employees. Position required “hands-on” involvement in many industrial, manufacturing, construction and service related activities in a large specialty steel alloy manufacturing corporation.

Developed and implemented Regulatory Compliance programs and procedures working with each site to design cost effective solutions according to regulatory requirements. Managed 3 ongoing plant programs providing continuous safety improvements (job observations; safety contacts; safety suggestions).

Under my oversight, the Reading, Orwigsburg & Elyria sites broke company record for lowest OSHA “Incident/Illness Rates” and Worker Compensation costs in 2014/15. Reduced TCIR x 63% to 1.8 and maintained injury reductions going forward.

Assisted with Worker Compensation Program by working with vendor on cases under my oversight – served as liaison between worker’s compensation carrier and work sites. Key representative at weekly meetings to review all open cases.
