MINI PROJECT: “DC motor controller using infrared” Done in NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation Ltd), in ECIL DESCRIPTION:
The objective of this project is to control the speed of the dc motor which is rotating at the rated speed in the forward and reverse direction. This add on circuit enables remote switching on/off of battery operated toy cars with the help of a TV/video remote control handset operating at 30-40 KHZ.
In this application we will show how we can control the speed of a single phase 6v battery. As a result the mono stable is triggered and a short pulse is applied to the clock input(pin 14) of IC2.Which takes Q1 output (pin2) of IC2 high to switch on motor driver transistor T2 via base bias resistor R7 and motor starts continuously rotating. MAJOR PROJECT: “Load commutated inverter variable frequency drive to id fans” Done in NTTPS (Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station),Vijayawada DESCRIPTION:
The objective of this project is power consumption is constant. The primary concern in the modern life is the conservation of energy is the usage of resources may exhaust earlier than expected.
Previously when technology was not much developed, the whole control was done with the help of hydraulic coupling which are to be controlled manually using the induction motors, utilizing constant power its operation. But the major drawback is the large consumption of energy.
But by the advancement made by the technology in power electronics we are able to overcome this major drawback caused by hydraulic coupling, employing semiconductor drives. This VFD is fully semiconductor drive using current source for its operation. This VFD for ID fans will save large amount of auxiliary power of the plant. ADVANTAGES:
1) The major advantage of VFD is the efficient use of power 2) Constant speed operation, do not have any speed limitation. 3) More efficient due to less power loss
4) Maintain good power factor of the station
