Analyze key process trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality Control, Procurement, and Finance to scope, develop and execute improvement projects to reduce energy consumption and optimize the use of cogeneration to the facilities.
Negotiated across several lines of business for a reduced 2017 Co-Generation Rate for Mosaic-Minerals resulting in an annual savings of $3.8 million, based on actual 2015 power usage.
Establish and communicate to plant management performance goals and annual budget, relating to power consumption.
Oversaw operational programs/initiatives aimed at improving Mosaic’s enterprise performance, resulting in the transfer of 9.62 MW from TECO to Mosaic Co-Generation line, and a 200 MWH credit to Mosaic’s Hooker’s Prairie Mine in Feb. 2014.

Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project Manager Oversaw the purchase of solar electric energy (kWh) from Duke Energy’s SunSense Commercial Solar PV program.
Provided a profitability index (PI) of 2.5, and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 13%.
Captured rebate of up to $130,000 from Duke Energy in addition to an anticipated savings of approximately $232,570 in electric bills at current utility rates in the first year.
Planned saving are calculated to increase as electric utility rates are expected to rise 5.00% annually.
Over 25 year life cycle, annual utility savings are anticipated to average $466,195, for a total utility savings of $11,654,880.

Washer Energy Efficiency & Reduced KWH/Matrix Ton Project Manager Developed a Mine’s Washer, Sizer & Flot Energy Efficiency Programs, and scorecards to measure and improve efficiency at 5 phosphate mines. Designed Four Corners, and Wingate Creek Mine’s Washer optimum run strategy.
Developed South Fort Meade Mine’s Washer optimum run strategy and efficiency improvements, resulting in a 2014 energy savings of $329,712, a 2015 energy savings of $393,584, and a 2016 2nd Quarter energy savings of $360,404, in addition to a reduced from 5.54 KWH/Ton during 2013 to 3.82 KWH/Ton during 2016. (3.50 KWH/Matrix Ton Target)
Developed Hooker’s Prairie Mine’s Washer Primary Log optimum run strategy. Focusing on Washer efficiency improvements, along with Flot KWH/Ton, resulting in a 2014 1st Quarter average energy savings of $34,858.
SFM Matrix Sealing Water Pump Project Manager: Managed a Sealing Water Pump improvement program resulting in capital improvement projects on over 14 high priority pumps. Replaced the existing 100Horsepower and 60 Horsepower pumps with more energy efficient and less horsepower pumps resulting in energy and maintenance cost savings.
Lead failure investigations to determine the root cause and initiate MOC, and corrective actions to preclude further failures, and maintain strong communication.
Replaced multiple Tailings Sealing Water 60 hp motor, pumping 100 gpm of flush water at 120 psi. with the 12 Stage Vertical 30 Hp Sealing Water Pumps.
Over 10 year life cycle, annual utility savings are anticipated to average $232,976, for a total utility savings of $2,329,762, and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 38.4%.
