Designed and developed unified platforms for Room Ionization in Semiconductor facilities to reduce manufacturing cost and simplify installation. Optimized infrared handheld remote controls.

Challenge: protecting profit margins by avoiding customizing ionizers.

Designed PCB layouts, shielded high voltage cable assemblies, quick-disconnect connectors, integrated compressed air- electrical connectors for various ionizers; high voltage power supplies.

Challenge: creating low cost custom high voltage connectors.

Modified ionizers for overseas production. Launched pilot production run at our partner’s manufacturing site in China.

Challenge: creating stable base for high quality production abroad.

Designed and developed various lines of ionizing blowers. Patented first in industry automated emitter point cleaner, giving company substantial competitive advantage. Upgraded ionizer with patented air-purge technology to meet urgent customer demand for increased performance (up to 3 times) in a most cost effective fashion.

Challenge: creating unique and inexpensive features to penetrate established market.

Proposed new ionizer for Flat Panel Display manufacturing; developed, built and tested prototypes. Participated in installation of ionizers in Japan and Taiwan: built and tested large scale models, Secured two patents related to architecture and airflow efficiency of these ionizers. Devised and executed cost reduction programs, improving margins and reducing customer’s cost of operation.

Challenge: introduction of prototypes within tight window of opportunities, enabling the company to penetrate Japan OEM market and become a major player in a field.

Researched, modeled and tested for particle generation and efficiency new ultra-clean ionizer.

Challenge: to be compliant with ISO Class 1 Cleanroom requirements; ideally achieving Enhanced ISO Class 1 for the first time.
