Using I-Deas Masters Series for FEA modeling (linear and non-linear analysis) as well as Nastran, Patran, NASGRO, and MathCAD computational power, predicting crack growth and calculating appropriate inspection method, interval, and threshold.
Evaluated and approved 3rd party MRO (Spirit, Triumph, Honeywell, and more) repair of units for induction into Delta’s fleet, utilizing FAA approved data, OEM document, and repair station manuals, complying with applicable rules and regulations.
Provided supervision to engineers of multidisciplinary background for Airframe and Thrust Revers Cowling repair.
Evaluate fleet primary and secondary structural reliability for realistically and responsively correlating operating experience using ACE principles, establishing maintenance controls as integral part of overall fleet maintenance program, and determining corrective action.
