This project contains three middleware systems of 3M(NGG SI, Gateway and EAI).Next Generation Gateway is intended to be the corporate B2B gateway to service all EDI and Managed File Transfer integrations within 3M’s Trading community.Supporting around 8000 Trading Partners via EDI and 210 Trading Partners via WebMethods for around 37 applications. Level 1, 2, 3 Support for EDI Gateway and Level 2, 3 support for WebMethods. Team receives around 300 tickets as a part of the support process. Onboarding various trading partners via EDI. As 3M EDI makes enquires to partners for their EDI capabilities and what 3M can offer for them. Once all details are gathered 3M works on EDI maps to handle data, setup communication such as sftp or VAN to exchanges files.

Responsibilities: -

Involving in new requirement gathering with the NGG Business stakeholders and providing them with necessary estimate.

Upgrading the maps developed in lower versions of SI mapper to Higher versions.

Daily maintenance tasks on SI like watching the error folder and halted BP’s and fixing it is in team scope else escalating to development team.

HIPAA 5010 project involves implementation and configuration of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota(BCBSMN) Edifecs solution. The design of the system is broken down into several major run-time components such as XEngine Server, TM(includes ETL, Edifecs Data store, TM web applications) for the implementation.

Responsibilities: -

At the beginning of this project I came onsite to get EDIFECS tool training by EDIFECS product team and participated in getting KT from IBM Vendor. Also participated in taking care of critical project deliverables.

The customer, a global pharmaceutical Leader, approached for assistance in the development and migration of their current DC PO/ASN/Invoiceapplicationrunning on Gentran Mainframes from Gentran Mainframes to Gentran Integration Suite. The customer had a requirement to replace the old Gentran mainframes tool and associated applications. The project-involved assessment of Client’s existing EDI environment, perform an evaluation of multiple B2B tools based on client requirements and provide recommendations on future state solution.

Responsibilities: -

Participated in a series of meetings with various business key users, third party vendors and customers to identify the business needs of the client and to help determine solutions to business problems and assess them to use the leading EDI tool available in the market’s space, which has the potential to fulfill Client’s future state requirements.

Conducted workshops to understand Client’s as-is EDI processing environment, processes and procedures of ordering, receiving, payment, and shipping to Distribution Centers and Stores.

Analyzed Client’s current business and technical challenges and given our high-level short and long-term recommendations with technical and business justifications.

At the conclusion of this assessment, we delivered a final assessment report that contained the following details:

Wal-Mart EDI involves development and support of its in-house developed components as well as third party applications. ISOFT/nuBridge handles AS2 communications. GEM (Global enterprise Mailbox) is the mail boxing solution, which is built over Connect Enterprise provided by Sterling. GIS 4.3 (Gentran Integration Suite) is the EDI translator. PORTAL, ORBIT, SMS, EDIFECS SPECBUILDER, JEDI, GLN and MAINFRAME HOST are other major applications. Even though GIS has AS2 and mail-boxing capabilities, due to architectural considerations, third party applications are deployed to cover these functions. Only translation capabilities of GIS 4.3 are utilized.About 14000 inbound files are handled every hour& major volumes of files are transportation docs like 204, 990 and 214.

Responsibilities: -

Trading partner additions and protocol set ups in Sterling Integrator for new partners

During any memory or space issue, recycling GIS application on different nodes and restarting hung process.

Envelop set ups and end-end testing of maps using the raw data in Sterling Integrator for EDI transactions.

During planned outages shutting down EDI operations/applications/GIS Schedules, backup and remove cron Job to minimize the impact of service.

Monitoring SI Mailbox for Interrupted\Halted Business Processes.

Checking the FA reports and retransmit the missing files

Support of existing business processes by monitoring system activities and initiating appropriate corrective action when needed.

The Panasonic Project in the EAI module involves both A2A and B2B transactions. Mercator deals with A2A transactions. GENTRAN deals with B2B transactions for transfer/translation of EDI documents/IDOC’s/Flat Files to and for (inbound and outbound flow) from various companies/organization/trading partners. Panasonic Consumer Electronic Corporation has planned to increase the Productivity and efficiency of the business; it has involved in different set of activities, like Migration to new versions and implementation of the same where in the existing maps used in Mercator 6.7 were being transformed to WTX maps. Further these maps will be used in MB, it also involves day to day steady state services for support, day-to-day maintenance and enhancements.

Involved in the creation, modification of maps (EDIFACT, X12 and IDOC’s) and trading partner profiles using Gentran.

Involved in creation of technical specs and migrating Mercator maps to Data stage TX.
