The Outlook Project is a company wide development and implementation of SAP software. My wife and I were located in Geneva, Switzerland for 2 years. My role on this project was to work with my colleagues from around the world to develop a costing and controlling system that would provide accurate, harmonized and consistent reporting data used in evaluating costs and profitability for a variety of business needs and cultures. After kernel development and support of implementations in France, Switzerland and Germany I was chosen to lead the Americas Finance project team (North and South America) with several locations going live in 2010 and 2011.

I was responsible for the Financial support of the Devon, KY, New Milford, CT and Oconomowoc, WI plants for all Income Statement and pertinent Balance Sheet items including inventory reporting, cost reporting and detailed yearly budgets and forecasts. This was done by efficiently directing, implementing, maintaining and accurately reporting information to plant and corporate management on a monthly basis by constantly developing systems and people to provide accurate and timely data. We utilized Excel and Showcase queries in conjunction with BPCS software on an AS400 mainframe.

Site Controller – New Milford, Connecticut 2002 - 2005

I was responsible for costing and controlling at the New Milford plant for Income Statement and pertinent Balance Sheet reporting, inventory reporting, cost reporting and detailed yearly budgets and forecasts. We successfully transitioned from being an acquired company to blend into the Givaudan culture by fully implementing all procedures and transitioning from Adage software to BPCS general ledger, standard costing and inventory systems as part of the BPCS implementation team.

Plant Controller – Pliant Washington, GA

Pliant Corporation, Washington, GA is a manufacturer of plastic packaging films for the medical, personal care, food and agricultural industries with sales of $75 million per year employing 230 people. I directed a staff of 4 to implement, maintain and report all pertinent financial information to plant and corporate management on a monthly basis.

We were responsible for the income statement and balance sheet forecasting and reporting, justification and tracking of capital projects, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger (JD Edwards), production, waste, inventory, sales and cost reporting, detailed yearly budgets. We utilized Excel, Access and Winspool in conjunction with JD Edwards software on an AS400 mainframe.

I directed 9 professionals and together we were responsible for planning, scheduling, purchasing, receiving, warehousing and shipping activities utilizing Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) software from IBM.

Plant Management Group - 2 years

I was the financial representative of a 4 member team responsible for all plant management functions. In addition to managing our own departments, this group functioned as the plant manager and included a Production Manager, H.R. Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and myself.

Accounting Manager - 3 years

I managed a staff of 4 professionals and 4 accounting clerks. We were responsible for cost accounting, income statement, balance sheet, accounts payable, payroll, sales accounting and accounts receivable. During this time we implemented new purchasing, financial reporting, standard costing, accounts payable, general ledger and payroll software.

Supervisor of Cost and Analysis - 3 years

I was selected to be on the plant start up team and implemented and maintained systems for cost, inventory, sales, income, variance analysis, capital projects and coordination of all tagged physical inventories.
