Duties and Responsibilities
Cataloguing and classifying library material using Dewey Decimal Classification scheme and Koha.
Assisting in the acquisition process of library material, e.g processing book orders as well as searching for book prices.
Processing telephone renewals.
Charging and discharging of library material.
Filing library records.
Assisting in the weeding of library material.
Dealing with user queries, which may involve 1-on-1 advice sessions.
Assisting in the manning of the internet cafe.
Assisting in book accessioning.
Orienting users about the library by hosting library tours.
