Systems Engineer: Performed systems development of the Panasonic Avionics Cabin Management Systems (CMS), InFlight Entertainment (IFE), and Ku Band Satellite Global Communication Suite (GCS) for Bombardier C Series aircraft. Project Manager: Served program management to manage engineers, customers, and outside test facilities to coordinate testing. Led all aspects of the resource planning required to complete testing. Responsible for configuration management of all test assets. Responsible for ALL facets of design, test, customer interface, procurement, inspection, conformal coating, shipping and receiving, redesign due to thermal faults, DMS, and production scheduling of personnel, resources, outsourcing (EMI, Conformal coating), and materials. Defined plans and schedules for environmental testing of power board and Directed internal testing on a hands-on basis: Conducted failure analysis of power board “freezing” OFF at -60F in thermal chamber. Prepared test reports including data presentation which resulted in design change to incorporate low watt strip heaters.

Systems Engineer: Performed Satellite Infrared Sensors Systems test and analysis. Authored the Global Hawk (GH) Enhanced Integrated Sensors Suite (EISS) Environmental Stress Screening test plan for the Receiver/Exciter/Controller (REC), Integrated Signal Processor (ISP), Sensor Electronics Unit (SEU), and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Accomplishments included: Produced a GH EISS Special Test Equipment Preventative Maintenance Plan on schedule and under budget, Produced Integrated TopSide (INTOP) program sensor LOS communications integration test proposal data, Produced a REC Timing and Control Module (TAC) Procurement Specification, Produced a REC TAC Supplier Statement of Work, and Produced a peer reviewed EISS Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).

BOEING, SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, CO AND HUNTSVILLE, AL, 4/2006 – 2/2010

Systems Engineer: Managed the verification of BMDS system level requirements traced with element requirements and provided technical recommendations to include or delete 141 System / Element traces.

Served as DOORS and System Architect on site focal and mentored three engineers using DOORS.

Updated and maintained BMDS System Level Requirements database including designing and implementing process improvements and ensuring compliance with customer formats and standards.

Collected and analyzed verification metrics (and verification reporting processes) and subsequently developed remedial action plans to facilitate verification processes that reduced processing costs by approximately 15%.

Provided feedback on spiral development of capability based functionality. Transformed DOORS database of Integrated Navigation, Controls, and Displays (INCDS) requirements into SLATE representation. Decomposed and allocated E2-D System Level requirements to INCDS in four domains: NAV, COM, HMI, and Guidance.

BOEING IDS, ROCKETDYNE CANOGA PARK, CA AND HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, 2/1997 – 2/2005

Systems Engineer, Environmental Test Lead: Defined plans and schedules for testing and set up, led test readiness reviews, and directed internal testing on a hands-on basis during SM-3 Missile Kinetic Warhead and guidance unit environmental (shock, vibe, thermal, and vacuum) acceptance testing testing. Worked with program management, engineers, customers to coordinate testing and lead all aspects of resource planning required to complete testing. Prepared test reports including presenting data for each tested unit. Responsible for configuration management and metrology of all test assets. After sufficient test confidence was gained, led process improvement to reduce AT cycle time from 28 days to approximately 22 days by reordering, eliminating, and combining tests. Responsible for safety management during testing. Served as Cost Account Manager and reported monthly EVMS CPI and SPI: Provided plans to recapture losses due to delays, failures, STE issues, personnel, security, and other technical issues (found FOD, excessive impedance in STE cables, etc.)

Systems Engineer: Authored numerous space activation, Failure Detection, Isolation Recovery (FDIR), FMECA and checkout procedures for Space Station Electrical Power System. Performed extensive EPS and EPS subsystem testing including cycling EPS space electronics through solar charging and insolation battery discharging at the Space Station Test Facility Kennedy Space Center and Space Electronics Laboratory at Rocketdyne Canoga Park.

Electronics Engineer, F-14D Program, Flight Test: Performed Infrared Search and Track (IRST) and APG-71 Radar Data Analysis against IR and RF deception. Performed extensive technical evaluation of APG-71 pulse Doppler radar and infrared sensors, avionics, and weapons control systems from airborne, ground, and laboratory test data and generated reports documenting test activity. Served as civilian aircrew on F-4 and F-18 aircraft.
