Parts Quality Engineer (contract)
Utilized quality inspection methods through the use of quality gauges (calipers, micrometers, tapes, etc.) and the use of supplier and manufacturing blueprints to test part conformity.
Understand the ISO quality standard and participates in the internal auditing processes maintain quality processes, procedures and continuous improvement (Gemba walks) in the manufacturing production area.
Support launch and new model builds to ensure compliance to dimensional and functional requirements.
Support customers, suppliers and production associates to investigate parts problems or any quality concerns that has a production impact by applying the principles of 5-M’s, 5-W’s and 2-H’s.
Critical thinker familiar with processes used for all levels of CBU(automotive) production: APQP, PPAP, PDCA, CARS,CPCS, & FMEA
All investigative reports are documented, recorded and submitted via NARS with the use of power point presentations to visually manage/communicate all root cause analysis. Duties include initiating and approving 3rd party containment and sorting of supplier related issue to prevent out flow to customers.
Understanding of basic GD&T, AutoCAD, catia, blueprint reading and windows based application.

2nd shift Quality Control Tech
Plant wide quality inspections with usage of precise measuring instruments to .001 “(calipers, protractors and tape measures).
Duties include, documenting, reporting, segregating and correcting various manufacturing process and welds to help identify and isolate anomalies where parts and assemblies may not meet engineering blueprints.
Sole Quality Assurance for the shift, responsible to visually inspected all work instructions of all phases of a product or work order creation.
Construct the whole part to ensure parts mate to expected tolerances and also apply structural tests of components to ensure durability.
Corroborated with supervisors, managers. Assists the production floor and set-up techs to identify and abrogate quality issues pertaining to the work instructions, blueprints
All QA alerts and nonconformities were physically documented, stored and entered online for plant manager to access.

Inventory/Launch Aid (temp)

Quality Technician
Worked in the HIGH PRESSURE DIE CAST section of Nemak loading and unloading of roughly 400-800 engine blocks to and from the production line.
Inspected and deflashed the blocks to meet the standards of QUALITY before they are sent to the next stage.
