Developed / Managed deployment of security specification NISPOM requirements for Federal Contract involving scanning bureau services. As FSO, organized standardized procedures and staffing aspects, including JPAS and OPSEC. RESULTS: Maintained DSS vulnerability assessment status as Satisfactory.

Led / Directed / Managed quality departments of up to 10 staffers (engineers, supervisors, and technicians) in union labor environments. Automotive Tier 1 supply situation involved APQP for launch of $80M in new business; HVAC OEM situation involved Lean Manufacturing initiatives. RESULTS: The automotive new business was launched on time, within budget, and created 2 spin-off product launches. The HVAC Lean conversion achieved 99+% schedule attainment and 91+% first pass yield within 3 years.

Resolved / Directed and implemented customer-focused strategies for regaining the coveted Ford Q1 supplier status that had been lost prior to my tenure. Corrected latent and active quality issues, built confidence in responsiveness to Ford, and provided evidence of continual improvement. RESULTS: Through 18 months of effort, against deep-seated concerns and ever moving targets, successfully applied collaborative countermeasures to gain the critical Ford engine plant endorsements that restored Q1 standing. Salvaged current $15M business and acquired $80M in new business from Ford.

Analyzed / Developed a searchable, MS-Access database platform for data-mining nearly 350,000 accumulated warranty records – customer complaints – on HVAC product that were “hidden” in business legacy system. Created supporting MS-Access data sets for reconciling field failure trends (PPM) and reliabilities against warranty expenses, unit production, unit sales, and internal defects. RESULTS: Provided problem solvers, designers, and marketers with confident, fact-based criteria for resource planning and decision-making.

Led / Directed / Managed implementation of ISO 14001:2004 requirements for two (2) facilities involved with environmentally friendly IT Asset Dispositioning for Fortune 500 clientele. Organized OHSAS 18001 requirements for health and safety standards. RESULTS: ISO 14001 certification achieved within 6 months; HS&E systems in place.
