SUMMARY
I am a passionate, detail-driven engineer with capabilities in completing multiple projects with competing deadlines. B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Analytical and aggressive in identifying and resolving inefficient operational processes. My experience includes developing conceptual, basic and detailed engineering designs as well as working as chemical engineering professor abroad. My background embraces plant instrumentation and automatized controls. Proficient in project planning, execution and management. CAPM Certified. Advanced Skills in MS Office. Fluent in Spanish and English. Beginner in French.
EXPERIENCE
Chemical Process engineer DICCA April 2014 – July 2015
oProject engineer responsible for chemical process designs in projects for customers of the oil, gas, chemical, and petro-chemical industries.
oDeveloped conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering designs for new facilities and existent facilities “as built”:
Project Engineering Experience:
Natural Gas Station Regulation (NEIRL). Objective - To develop a basic and detailed engineering design for a Natural Gas Regulation Station where high-pressured natural gas would be regulated at 7 different points of pressure and volume requested for clients which would be interconnected to the Natural Gas Station. PDVSA GAS, San Francisco, Zulia, Venezuela. Highlights:
Hydrates and liquid formation analysis using modeling software (Pipephase and ASPEN Hysys).
Evaluated alternatives that involved heat applications to the process in order to avoid hydrates formation due to high pressure differential in the regulation process. Presented final report and offered recommendations based upon alternatives.
Designed liquids distribution network and final disposal system.
Equipment sizing (Separators Vessels, Slug-Catcher).
Natural Gas Pipeline and Natural Gas Station Regulation (ENLL). Objective – To develop basic and detailed engineering design for a natural gas pipeline interconnected to a regulation station that would serve natural gas to an electrical plant and an oil refinery. PDVSA GAS, Barinas, Venezuela.
oExecuted and reviewed engineering documents and plans, such as:
Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
Mass and Energy Balance
Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID)
Process Simulations
Philosophy of operation and control
Hydraulic Calculations
Chemical Engineering Professor INSTITUTO UNIVERSITARIO POLITECNICO SANTIAGO MARIÑO March 2014 – July 2015
oProfessorships: Food Technology, Industrial Chemistry, and Chemical reactions engineering.
oAcademic Thesis advisor.
oPlan lessons and assignments.
oPrepared guided visits to Chemical Plants.
Intern PDVSA-CITGO December 2011-March 2012
oEvaluated the technical and economic feasibility of using continuous demulsifying chemical injection system via gas-lift-way technique in heavy crudes and high water cut oil wells at Lago de Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela. Highlights:
Reservoir production simulation analysis (PIPESIM).
Cost-Benefit analysis including Internal Rate Return (IRR) evaluation.
