I have a very creative imagination. Am an optimist. Always try to stay calm in difficult or stressful situations. If my schedule should interfere with my second work schedule, I could most certainly work my hallways on a Saturday. I am very good at my job because I am organized and always finish my work above what is expected.

I helped create lesson plans and assisted the activities for each age 0-13 years, communicated with the parents daily, as well as maintain confidentiality for each family. I attended staff meetings and 6 hours of training courses annually. Met the everyday needs of each child such as diapers, naptime, and appropriate clothing for the weather. I attended and helped with select field trips off property. I also prepared breakfast, lunch, and snacks in appropriate portions and food groups and served the children.

Volunteered every week day at my school, STAR Family Literacy, which is located in the Early Head Start building. I have a five year old daughter so I spent time down in her classroom since she was an infant; Helping out not only her but the other children as well doing various activities and duties. Diaper changing, Feeding. Preparing bottles. Lunchtime. Clothing. Laundry. Physically and verbally interacting with children throughout the day. Taught children personal care behaviors such as toilet training, feeding, and hand washing. Redirected children to encourage safe, positive behaviors. Organized activities that developed children’s physical, emotion, and social growth. Helped facilitate indoor and outdoor play, and helped keep the classroom clean.
