RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Interprets telemetry rhythms, monitors for changes, and notifies RN of patient telemetry status changes
•Recognizes and trouble shoots equipment malfunction
•Exhibits critical thinking skills and appropriate judgments in decision making and actions related to alarm parameters, antiarrhythmic detection and rhythm quality
•Maintains knowledge and skill level in all aspects of telemetry equipment and monitoring
•Assists in emergency situations as directed by nursing and/or medical staff

•Performs routine and complex telemetry monitoring procedures within established guidelines
•Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances

•Measures length and height of patients rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout using calipers, and posts information on the appropriate documentation form/EHR
•Supports unit with communication and other operational duties as delegated by the manager/designee
