Presently employed with D’wish Production as a Sr. Cameraman cum Video Editor I am mainly involved in the News and programming section with television media. I have covered several National events, Business events and current affairs. Through D’wish I have worked on many corporate movies, talk shows and live events for market times. I have also had the opportunity to shoot a few events for Uzbekistan embassy, Denmark embassy and Income tax department of India. As a Sr. Cameraman I am also managing a crew of 4 people.

Current Roles and Responsibilities:

Assemble and set up shooting equipment and carryout rehearsal scenes:

Selecting, assembling and setting up cameras, accessories, equipment and film stock to be used during filming, using knowledge of filming techniques, requirements, and computations.

Instructing camera operators regarding angles, distances, movement, variables and cues for starting and stopping filming.

Operating zoom lenses, changing images according to specifications and rehearsal instructions.

Liaise with lighting and technical team to resolve any issues related to camera, video audio recording and lighting:

Reading and analyzing work orders and specifications to determine locations of subject material, work procedures, sequences of operations, and machine setups.

Conferring with directors, sound and lighting technicians, electricians, and other crew members to discuss assignments and determine filming sequences, desired effects, camera movements, and lighting requirements and then frame and capture actions creatively while following camera scripts.

Provided feedback on light and colors and adjusted the same as needed.

Observing sets or locations for potential problems and to determine filming and lighting requirements

Carry out video editing to finalize the shoot:

Gathering and editing raw footage on location to send to television affiliates for broadcast, using electronic news-gathering or film-production equipment.

Viewing films to resolve problems of exposure control, subject and camera movement, changes in subject distance, and related variables and then adjusting positions and controls of cameras and related equipment in order to change focus, exposure, and lighting.

Composing and framing each shot, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses, film, filters, and camera settings for the perfect desired shot.

Previous work experience:

Zee News (2nd June 2008 to 26th Aug 2011): Worked as Cameraman for News & Current Affair programs.

Undergone two months internship from CNN-IBN and NDTV.

Skills Inventory:

Types of Video camera known: Various DVC Pro,Sony PMW Series, SonyZ7P Canon5D, Ikegama, PD 150, PD 170, BETA SP and all digital cameras.

Knowledge of FCP.

Application software: MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Adobe Premier.

Operating Systems: Windows 95/98/2000

In depth knowledge of post production and colour correction techniques
