SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Directed Global Plant Purchasing organization, with 23 buyers, to successfully deliver a global strategy with regional tactics for 2x annual results of set value goal. Reorganized NA plant purchasing, MRO, and storeroom buyers from 7 different locations into Cincinnati, leveraging spend across all regions, reducing overhead costs, and simplifying customer experience.
Developed consortium purchasing process for commodity materials, through consortium buying of thousands of SKUs of corrugated with 4 other companies. Influenced supplier pricing through relationships with reporting publications and leveraged spend with consortium partners to realize 10-25% savings on corrugated materials with double the previous firm pricing periods.
Designed and implemented “Shop-in-Shop” concept and cost models (including productivity improvements) for the program, securing 20% cost improvements, 30% reduction in inventory, and 10% headcount reduction.
Created the Consumer Market Knowledge Purchasing organization through internal client management, developed long-term departmental strategy, and managed day-to-day execution of Supplier Master Agreements with suppliers who were not previously accountable for measured results.
