o Liaise with the rig superintendent and supervisors to implement procedures in identifying hazards in equipment and work practices. To work with the rig and office personnel to immediately eliminate or reduce those hazards.

o Monitor compliance and be familiar with all relevant OFS/SDS Standards. o Ensure that our customer’s standards are met and that local regulations are used as a guideline.

o Monitor fire and emergency drills to ensure they are realistically applied and make recommendations where improvements can be made. o Ensure that a comprehensive safety induction program is implemented for all new employees and recently transferred employees who are not familiar with the rig specific procedures.

o Assist in the quarterly review of the rigs HSE performance with respect to the rig specific objectives.

o Analyze the accident, incident, and near miss reports and make recommendations for improvement.

o Conduct Drive-right analysis; discuss with drivers, Monitor Drive right records for degenerating or improving trends.

o Help employees to assess the local risks at each location and prepare a location risk profile.

o Observes proper rig operating procedures, stopping discussing and documenting any unsafe practices.

o Plays an active part in HSE meetings, toolbox meetings, the SQM program and all other company safety management systems. o Promote bottom up approach in participation / leading Safety meeting o Is proficient in STOP for supervisors and uses its techniques. Promotes the use of STOP for employees to the personnel under his supervision. o Ensures that all SDS and OFS policies and standards are understood and implemented on the rig.
