Work Experience

Lucky Textile Mills

Senior Merchandiser

2012 June - 2013 May

• Worked for the above brands as a merchandiser with a team of four person

• I was responsible to smoothly execute the orders once the factory recieved the quantity from buyers after the devel- opment of our projects by the product development team

• I have to do the costing of the products with my team to determine the unit price of the product

• Once I recieved the orders from buyer I have to internally do fabric calculation

• After fabric calculation I had to Internally feed the order in the specialized ERP software. The ERP system had the ability to intimate the concerned department for example (Yarn, Fabric, Printing, Procurement, Planning) and gave a heads up that a order has to be shipped before the input date.

• Mean while we have to make all the internal contracts with the concerned department like (Procurement, weaving, etc) and get it signed by the authorities

• Meanwhile we have to maintain a file for every purchase order that was generated by the buyer and make a estimat- ed TNA (time and action plan) so as the mill can execute the orders in a timely manner. We also had to keep a sharp eye on the TNA at all times as if the the assigned time slot to each department exceeds its limit, I had to inform the authorities about the delays and make sure the orders remain with in its assigned TNA plan

• I was also responsible for the procurements of the acccessories of the orders like ( Sewing Threads, Inserts, Tags, Polybags, Carton)

• As the order proceeds to its final stages, i have to approve the labdips for approval of printing, dyeing etc MOHAMMAD OMAIR

• Once the samples were were approved I have to Intimate the export department of the mill for the upcoming con- tainer approval

• For container approval I had to do the shipment volume calculation and submit it to the export department so they can submit it to the shipping line and get a container booked for that particular order number

• Once the order was ready to be shipped I was responsible to Book a Final inspection for the products produced by a third party Inspectors like Intertek or SGS

• Once the Shipment was passed by the inspectors it was ready to be loaded in the container booked earlier

• Once the shipment reached the port, the export department issued the payment reciept to the buying company

• New products were always Inquired by different customers, I with my team had to do costing for that particular order, the costing was so done that it covered all the aspects of the product cost example (fabric, printing, shipping cost)
