ENGINEERING PROJECTS & INTERNSHIP
Power System Stability
California State University, Sacramento (Sept. - Dec. 2015)
Worked in a group and was the team leader and gave a presentation about the definition of the stability of power systems and
use MATLAB to simulate the power system in different situations, and wrote a project report.
Simulation of the 3G CDMA Wireless System Using Spread Spectrum
California State University, Sacramento (Sept. - Dec. 2015)
Using SIMULINK, a simple model of the widely used 3G CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system is simulated, the main
components of the system are the transmitter, channel, and receiver. Analyzed the bit error rate and the effect of SNR has on
the bit error rate, and wrote a project paper.
Research on AC/DC Power Flow Calculation and Converter Control Modes
Chongqing University (Feb. - May 2014)
Analyzed the HVDC(High Voltage Direct Current Transmission) system base on the concept of DC transmission. Modeled the
AC/DC system and simulated it with MATLAB. Studied the conditions of transformation of inverter control mode and the
changing rules of DC systems parameters and simulated an example with PSASP(Power System Analysis Software Package).
Electrical Engineer Intern
Three Gorges Dam hydropower plant, Gezhouba Dam 500kV Switchyard & Transformer Substation
Wuhan, P.R. China (June - July 2013)
Analyzed various system diagrams, verified in-plant parts accuracy. Collected metered-data and analyzed usage. Monitored
system warning system and identified malfunctioned elements.
VOLUNTEER SERVICE & CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
Womens install in Sacramento with GRID Alternatives (Sept. 2015)
Installed solar electric system at a low-income family house.
Captain of the swimming team in Chongqing University (Sept. 2011 - July 2015)
