KENCO (Cummins), Memphis, TN March 2016 – Present Operations Manager Inventory Control and Inbound Support Manager

Serves as the Senior Logistics Inventory Control Operations Manager for a two 24-Hour 1.2 million square foot distribution centers consisting of over 340 million dollars’ worth of inventory in over 650 thousand locations.

Expertly manages three different 24-hour departments with 70 teammates: Inventory Control, Reorganization, and Profiling.

Exceeded Service Level Agreement expectations and Key Performance Indicators on Location, Financial and Piece Accuracy.

Implemented Lean mythologies to increase performance consisting of Cycle Count TAK Time, Gemba Walks, Departmental Lean Kiosk Boards, Kanban Boards, Productivity Tracker and Strategic A3’s.

Implemented strategies to prevent wrong picks / over picks by applying Pareto analysis and Best in Industry Warehouse Practices such as Visual Management Systems, Picture Boards, Zone Specific Count and Pick instructions, 5S and Safety boards.

Inventory Operations Manager

Provided executive level logistic management for a 3PL company that supports five different business units in both domestic and international customers specializing in consumer and industrial logistics in excess of $38 million worth of inventory.

Planned and executed a CI inventory cycle count model which resulted in a 20% improvement in location and quantity accuracy within a three month period.

Consolidated a one-million square foot warehouse consisting of five different business into consolidated by business zones which improved picking speed by over 40%.

Meritoriously lead a $1.2 million virtual inventory deficit plan, within two months reestablished accountability of inventory at a 99.7% success rate.

Advanced Inventory experience with Manhattan Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution (SCALE) WMS.

Volunteered to serve as the onsite SCALE System Administrator to ensure all stock be received, allocated, picked and ship during a system administrator position recruitment which lasted more than nine months.

Provided coaching, teaching and mentoring a 3PL model to support all five branches of the military by understanding they are each unique logistics needs.

Directly provided oversight of a supply warehouse which utilized Just in Time (JIT) logistics principles, as well as developed custom configured logistic supply loads for individual customer support.

Efficiently manage administrative functions of military entrance processing station with 35 personnel. Oversee processing of applicants for entry into all branches of U.S. Armed Services. Conduct aptitude testing, set up medical exams, prepare enlistment contracts, and arrange travel to primary training sites. Hold full responsibility for Quality Assurance (QA) of drug and alcohol testing as well as blood HIV samples. Maintain accountability for the upkeep of $169,000 in equipment.

Selected and entrusted to serve as Executive Manager in his absence for over 30 days per year.

Increased customer satisfaction, resulting in the enlistment of more than 1,400 personnel per year.

Identified contingency logistic needs of all customer units in the Republic of Korea to include maintenance, warehousing, transporting of all equipment.

Identified a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) of contingency equipment staged at strategic locations.

Developed time-phased issue plan for technical equipment and mitigated the risk of catastrophic event by reducing dangerous items on the site (plan adopted and implemented for large-scale use).
