Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, Research & Development, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering - 20+ years experience in all phases of the new product development process

direct management and leadership of teams that are staffed with professional engineers responsible for bringing engineering design projects to fruition - led cross-functional teams of 5-50 persons, core of all projects was primarily engineering driven

Ability to travel 40% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders - I have no restrictions on my ability to travel internationally

Desired Qualifications:

Masters degree in Engineering - 20+ years of new product development with project management and business acumen expertise

five years of progressively responsible experience - yes, please see resume for work experience progression

15+ years leading teams that include well established and successful Research and Development groups - 16+ years project management experience leading cross-functional teams whose core members were made up of Research & Development / New Product Development team members

Patent holder - I hold 7 patents

Experience designing and delivering complex automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing - experienced with Design for Assembly / Manufacturing techniques, worked directly with Manufacturing Engineers on complex and automated material handling, assembly and packaging systems.

Experience with process design based on Lean Principles - utilize lean principles in product design/development process

Capital project management skills - experienced at developing business case and in managing project and capital expenditures

Proficiency using MS Excel, and MS Project, and CAD software - proficient at MS Office, MS Project, SolidWorks, Visio and SharePoint

Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, organization, system dynamics, systems analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making - use Visio to document and communicate various information flows and relationships including decision trees and process flows, create Excel based databases to provide data-driven solutions, utilize a variety of decision making tools

Design-in-Safety experience - risk mitigation experience in Design for Safety, FEA, DFMEA, PFMEA, 3P, Kaizen, and Stage-Gate
