Key Deliverables:

Co-ordinate between both units control desks (turbine and boiler operation desk) for unit start up, safe shutdown, unit electrical breakers operations and other critical activities pertaining to unit.

Guide Desk control Engineers for Cold start up, Warm start up, Hot Start up, Normal Unit operation, Emergencies Handling and safe shut down of units.

Provide suitable corrective actions for operating the unit at its optimum performance as per Load schedule and keeping in mind the effect of DSM gain/charge and ADSM penalty.

Liable to use Energy Efficiency tricks to minimize auxiliary power consumption.

Involve in power posting in SAP and ensure to follow and implement of SOPs with safety.

Accountable to collect the plant performance parameters on daily shift basis and record into Log Book.

Responsible for line up of the unit and its auxiliaries, safely changeover of equipments, routine testing of protection system and annunciation system in LVS.

Manage the issue and cancellation PTW (Permit to Work) system (By ERP Software SAP) and Manual permits both) with LOTO system, Raising Defects / Notifications in SAP, Safe isolation and tagging, personnel and equipment safety.

Plan & present brief performance analysis of the system on a monthly basis or weekly basis during operation review meetings

Handle the Load throw off to control generation as per Requirement /injection schedule.

Performance testing of various equipments/Subsystems like Compressors, Cooling tower, Vacuum Improvement parameters, avoiding excessive boiler blow down, Flash steam recovery, Reduce heat loss due to uninsulated hot steam pipeline, boiler drum silica reducing by CPU etc. time to time.

Ensure timely Equipment’s health monitoring and tracking the performance testing.

Instruction to Field operators/engineers for Local Line up, Clearance for startup & shutdown and safe operation of Unit.

Monitor the loading of machine and maintain load schedule as to minimize under/over Injection to ensure maximum profit as per DSM as it is Grid frequency based.

Involve & Manage the Emergency (DC) Equipment Trial, AC Drives routine trail, restoration of process & Equipment.

Accountable for SOPs preparation, IMS documents preparation and implementation.

Impart training and guidance to team of engineers handling maintenance issues

Develop and submit reports on needs for new equipment and replacement of old ones

Ensure implementation of all health and safety regulations
