SUMMARY

Atanu Raha, holder of a MEng degree in Environmental Science & Technology (EST) from UNESCO-IHE, The Netherlands, is an Environmental Professional with 16 years of experience. He is a recipient of Netherlands Fellowship Program (NFP) Graduate Scholarship from The Royal Dutch Government. His work experience spans across UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Syria and India.

Having worked in industry as well as in consulting groups with international repute, he has gained experience of consulting practices while being aware of the requirements of Operating Companies. Apart from working with a number of the Operating Companies, International Oil Companies, and major Engineering Contractors, Atanu has also worked in World Bank funded Gujarat State Highway Project (GSHP) and was responsible for the EMP implementation during the construction phase (2A and 2B).

He has been involved with Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Option analysis, Environmental Baseline Surveys, Formulation and implementation of management plans, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, development of Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, Compliance Monitoring & Audits, Industrial Noise Modeling (SoundPLAN), participate in HSE workshops (HAZID, ENVID), Performance monitoring of effluent treatment plant, Sustainability Reporting (GRI Standard), etc.
