To obtain a full-time position in the Mechanical engineering industry. MS student in Mechanical Engineering Jan.2014 – Dec.2016

Thesis project, develop a prototype flat plate solar collector used to supply hot water. The prototype involves using automobile radiator (receiver plate).

Report performance metrics to the plant and company leadership.

SPECIFIC PROJECTS:

Waste heat recovery from furnace recuperator to Cake Drying Ovens Nov.2012 – Mar.2013

In this project I was representing the production team, the goal of the project was energy saving, for this, and we had to optimize the process upset during fabrication and maintaining product quality with exchanged hot air. Flue gas temperature from the furnace will be approximately 850oC. In-order to use this heat from the furnace, heat is exchanged with fresh air and circulated to cake drying ovens for product drying.

New Heavy duty racking system Sep.2012 – Jan.2013

For effective utilization of space, old drive-in racks were uninstalled and new heavy duty racks were installed. My responsibility was to execute project safely, timely with a quality installation. Team size is 30 members

Process capability improvement in finished goods Apr.2012 – Jun.2012

Using 6 sigma model I worked with the Quality leader to improve process capability for fiberglass finished goods (Multi-end roving, Direct roving, Chopped strands, Chopped strand mat).

Size application efficiency improvement Feb.2012 – Apr.2012

Size or binder (chemicals) which is used to convert glass into fiber consumes 25% of annual budget. To improve application efficiency various parameters are considered and worked out to achieve good results. This project is executed using KAIZEN principle. I was the team leader for this project under the guidance of the quality leader. Team consists of 5 members

Design and Manufacturing of Milling head for Planer Machine (Plano milling machine) Nov.2010 – Apr.2011

Worked on this as my undergraduate thesis project

A Plano milling machine is a planer or shaping machine accommodated with milling head which resulted in increase in production, and there by decrease in pricing, shop floor area, work changing time, power etc.
