PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
System Admin/Storage Admin Oct 2013 to Sept 2016
System and Storage Admin with Modis at HP. Administered and maintained two Windows 2003
Clusters, two EVA 6000 arrays. An ESL7121E tape library which used Data Protector to backup and restore files. The clusters were used as file servers for live production data. During operation I monitored cluster and backup for failures and corrected any failed shares and backup jobs. Also added and removed file shares permissions as necessary. Kept all servers current on Windows updates and updated server, fibre switches and library firmware.
Engineering Tech
Engineering Tech at LSI Accelerated Solutions Division. Built and tested storage HBAs that have attached solid state disks and imbedded raid control. These adapters were custom made for Facebook and Intel. Involved in these build were loading new builds of firmware and attaching SSDs as per customer request. Also built the Linux. CENTOS and windows on servers for testing. Part of this testing was Windows Hardware Qualification testing for Microsoft.
Lab Tech/Test Engineer June 2010 to Oct 2011
Lab Tech at HP On the team responsible for testing Command View EVA storage
management software. Responsible for hardware support on HP Storage Arrays,
Brocade switches to include changes to the fabric, firmware and driver updates
and server install/uninstalls. Also responsible for testing firmware on P6500
storage arrays. This testing includes creating the test environment including fiber
channel cabling, fabric changes and server setup.
Software Test Technician Oct 2008 to July 2009
Software Test Technician at LSI Logic testing gen2 Raid adapters. Involved in pre-test
System configuration including firmware flashing, loading drivers and SAS/SATA
cabling. Test cases included basic raid functionality, i/o stress testing signal jamming
using a Finisar xgig jammer and trace analyzer. All testing was done to meet an
aggressive schedule.
Systems Maintenance Services Mar 2008 to Aug 2008
Senior Field Service Engineer maintaining a mix of Dell Power Edge, HP Proliant and
IBM x Series Servers. Provide logistical support for parts price lookup and ordering.
Ensure customer servers have current bios firmware and storage firmware. This support
is given at the customer's data center and includes standby support as well. All
associated peripherals also supported. Responsibilities also included shipping/receiving
and inventory control.
Starz Entertainment Group Englewood, CO July 2007 to Nov 2007
Administer Corporate SAN consisting of four HP EVA arrays and an EMC Celarra/Clariion.
Provide support in fibre cabling for new hosts, fibre zoning, creation of luns and presentation of
these luns, and creation of NAS shares. Fibre zoning was done on a Brocade 4/256 Director.
Capacity planning is also part of this position. Used Remedy to track trouble tickets.
Administration took place in a 24/7 environment.

SAN Engineer
Administer and trouble shoot an extensive SAN for Agilent. The SAN consists of several
Hundred HP-UX and Windows severs with EMC storage and NetBackup. Assure that
backups are done in a timely manner, update NetBackup client software, ensure drivers
are at required revision, and all necessary patches are installed. Install media server
software and patches for Symantec NetBackup.
