TEVA PHARMACEUTICAL 2015

Supply Chain Director

Managed a department of 6 direct reports and 15 indirect reports. Included all aspects of supply chain including project management, product configuration, budget and material planning, master scheduling, purchasing, warehouse, receiving and shipping.

Negotiated a supply agreement for a customer who contracted Teva as a 3rd party manufacturer.

Created a strategy to reduce inventories to allow space in the warehouse for construction of a manufacturing site.

Led a Kaizan event to reconfigure the warehouse raw material locations that aligned with GMP and lean manufacturing principles.

Worked extensively evaluating lot-sizes and replenishment practices and implemented changes where it made most sense.

To promote a sense of ownership and to expose key staff to business initiatives they had not been exposed to before, I guided and delegated the creation of a Gemba board for the supply chain department and presentation daily to the executive team.

Evaluated and guided Project Management in making changes to the new products and product changes meeting formats and statuses. These improvements made it easier for team members to understand where we were in the process, when we were running ahead/behind, and the associated owners.

JOHNSON AND JOHNSON, Sedasys Franchise 2012 – 2014

Supply Chain Manager

Created the supply chain for the Sedasys start-up company within J & J. Managed the business relationships with 2 3rd party PMA device manufacturing sites and over 150 sub-tier suppliers. Worked extensively with Program Management, R & D, Commercial Team, Operations, and Finance to prepare for the launch of this unique product line. Lead quarterly business reviews with supply base and critical sub-tiers. Hosted a supplier summit with the supply base managed over $7M inventories, $500M in equipment assets located all over US.

Created inventory management, purchasing, sales and operations planning, distribution, asset tracking, service parts management, and end-of-life processes for sustainability and best practices. Leveraged existing processes where it made sense and created new processes that were not identified.

Identified suppliers who were pulling out of the project and created an evaluation of potential new suppliers’ process that was used to identify the best overall source of supply. Sourced new suppliers based on best practices and ensured we followed company policies and procedures.

Identified and discarded $2M obsolete / slow moving and non-conforming materials, resulting in assurances that new products will be made with compliant materials and provided more accurate view of assets.

Negotiated affiliate agreements with 3rd party manufacturers and participated in master service agreement negotiations with corporate contract management. This is necessary to legally protect both manufacturer and buyer and to have basis for managing business relationship.

Ensured 3rd party manufacturers and sub-tier supply base passed FDA audits and were ready for product launch. Assisted in extensive FDA, technical assessments, and supply chain readiness projects at 3rd party manufacturing sites.

Negotiated $4M in end-of-life and last time buy agreements.

Worked extensively with sub-tier supply base to prolong engagement and excitement about project.

INTEGRA LIFE SCIENCES

Director of Operations, Akron, OH 2010-2012

Led, controlled, and directed a site of 25 employees with full budget responsibilities including forecasting, planning, purchasing, inventory control, surgical set kitting, packaging, quality control, order fulfillment, facilities, and distribution. Supported aggressive product development schedule for 2011 and drove projects through to completion. Provided effective communication with staff and fostered positive working relationships with personnel at all levels of organization.

Prepared site for 2011 FDA audit through strengthening SOP documentation, change management, and process improvement initiatives. As a result, FDA audit passed with just a couple of observations.

Senior Materials Manager 2007-2010

As Senior Materials Manager for staff of 12 people, responsibilities included, planning, purchasing, inventory control, procurement engineering, and distribution. Developed new processes, training, budgets, and strategies to align departments with corporate objectives.

Served as Interim Site Manager for Cincinnati branch for 3 months.

Due to rapid growth from business acquisitions, increased staffing of Cincinnati Materials department from 1 employee to a department of 12 employees in 3 years.

Planned, organized, and developed a visual replenishment system for over 750 parts as a green belt project which reduced inventories by 30 +% in 6 months and increased on-time delivery by 22%.

Due to lack of MRP or formal planning system, excessive expediting was taking place. Improved supplier / buyer business relationships by setting up inventory location system, and small parts Kanban replenishment process, making buying schedule more attainable.

INGERSOLL RAND / STEELCRAFT

Production Control Manager 2005 – 2006

Created a scheduling system for Door manufacturing side of business improving visibility of work loaded at each step in process. Directed a department of 2 salaried employees for a 3-shift operation.

Led creation of a scheduling system for Door manufacturing plant, on-time customer deliveries went from low 80% to 100% consistently each month.
