UCSB Summer Day Camp Counselor June 2016-August 2016 Supervised and engaged 15-25 kids in interactive and engaging activities including theatre, swimming, soccer, field games, gymnastics, and art. Research Assistant for Hammeras Group May 2015-present (part time) Conducted healthcare market research for a California-based consulting firm. Researched public, state, national, and nonprofit databases to obtain secondary data for comparative analytics. Databases included demographic (age, ethnicity, percent of population below the FPL, etc.), financial (hospital charges/DRG, cost of emergency room visits, healthcare costs by unity of service, etc), and clinical/health indicators (morbidity, morality, access to care, wait times, etc.). Downloaded databases, formatted tables, and provided high-level analytics. Study results were used by consulting firm to develop system-wide strategic plans, service delivery configuration recommendations, new clinical programs, and to identify opportunities for cost savings within the healthcare delivery system. Global Medical Brigades- Student President June2015-June 2016 Developed and executed a comprehensive plan to fund raise, prepare, and provide clinical services to indigent patients in Honduras.

Led a competitive GMB leadership selection process and selected the 2015-2016 GMB leadership team. Led weekly and monthly meetings, helped prepare students for their clinical and public health rotations, and worked closely with GMB headquarter advisers to meet all of the organization’s programmatic criteria. Led the comprehensive UCSB GMB fundraising program and raised over $6,000 through grants, corporate sponsorships, and events. Funds were used to purchase medications/supplies for the clinic and public health projects, as well as to fund scholarships for low-income students. Triaged patients in the clinics (took medical history, vital signs, and chief complaint), provided valuable and sustainable health lessons to the community, and worked along side local families on public health projects such as the building of sanitation stations, latrines, and cement floors in the families’ homes. United Cerebral Palsy: Care Aide June 2013-Sept 2013 Provided supervision and one-on-one care for children with special needs in the home and at after school programs. Communicated with parents, UCP therapists, and after school program leaders to provide the best possible coordinated care. Used customer relations, organizational, interpersonal, and therapeutic skills to create a positive and educational experience for the children. 2
