Polymerization facility with Akzo Nobel technology consisting of 8 polymer production lines, catalyst preparation, postcondensation, distillation area and tank storage area. Process Engineer - provided technical support to achieve production and quality targets, responsible for process operating conditions and product properties and specifications, including catalysts and raw materials. Analyzed and evaluated polymer and catalyst properties using statistical process control tools to justify process changes for quality improvement.

AKRA Polyester – Draw Textured Yarn (DTY) Unit, Monterrey, Mexico. DTY unit with M-80 and AFK Barmag machines using disk false-twisting technology. Process Engineer responsible for differentiated DTY and flat yarns product specification, performance and product quality levels. Provided technical support to define DTY machine operating parameters to achieve DTY yarn’s adequate operating tensions and product specifications. Used statistical process control data as an input to proposed process changes for quality improvement. M.Eng Petrochemicals, Polymers, and Plastics 2002 - 2003 AKRA Polyester – Polyester Flat Yarns Unit, Monterrey, Mexico. Flat Yarns unit comprised Draw Zinser (8), Draw Winder (4) and Warping (4) machines. Process Engineer responsible for reviewing and updating machine’s process conditions and product and packing specifications. Updated and organized machine process setting sheets, packing specifications and product specifications based on company ISO 9001 requirement. Analyzed yarn properties based on variable control charts and proposed to my Supervisor options for adjusting yarn Dtex and elongation by reducing flat yarn draw ratio. Used X-R and X-S Control Chart analysis to identify process centering and assignable causes of variations in the process in order to monitor and control the packed yarn quality level. Assisted one of our customers with tricot dye uptake yarn segregation from their production line. EDUCATION
