Quality Test Engineer / Certified Welding Inspector / ISO Lead Auditor 2000 - 2016 Managed two shift Product and Research and Development Laboratory which supported plant production, customer specified testing, resolved plant and supplier quality related issues, and aided in outsourcing development activities for existing and new products and systems. Supported corporate Project Engineers, Project Managers and supplier quality initiatives by offering technical expertise and experience. Supported code and customer welding requirements in the visual inspection of in process and finished welds utilizing Certified Welding Inspection fundamentals and certification. Reviewed and maintained conformance to WPS and PQR’s in accordance to ASME Section IX. ISO 9000:2008 Lead Auditor for multiple teams and standard processes. Purchased capital equipment.

Responsible for testing Rigid Polyurethane Foam Systems, extruded High Density Polyethylene, Polyurethane Fiberglass insulating and jacketing systems, as well as Fusion Bond and other types of coated sub straight piping assemblies to meet ASTM, Engineering and customer requirements, standards and specifications.

Guided data driven activities to track production variation to allow for subsequent manufacturing consistency working hand in hand with production management plant supervision and product vendors on a daily/weekly basis.

Tested and reported various aspects of products in accordance to applicable ASTM Standards and Control Plans for both customers and vendors in accordance to provided engineering standards and specifications.

Visual Inspection of in process and finished GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW carbon and stainless steel welds in accordance to American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector Certification. Reviewed third party NDE film and reports for code requirements and accuracy.

Lead Quality Engineer for ASME Vessel Certification for “PP” and “U” stamp National Board Accreditation for the past nine years.

Weld inspection was performed to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, B31.1, B31.3, API 1104 and other applicable codes and customer requirements.

Outsourced product and material testing for Polyurethane Foams, High Density Polyethylene Plastics, carbon and stainless steel pipe and fittings for various types of projects including Oil and Gas, LNG, Oxygen Service, and food and beverage industries.

Responsible for qualifying and testing welders in accordance to applicable WPS’s, QPR’s, and code requirements for Normal, High Pressure and Cryogenic services.

Performed as Production / Technical Supervisor for Polyurethane Foaming and Jacketing operations for two retro fit machines and one automated line multi shift production.

Responsible for meeting weekly production schedule of various configurations of foamed and jacketed piping components to customer specifications and tolerances.

Responsible for process data settings, preventative maintenance, and other crucial aspects to ensure work center performance.

Responsible for Gusmer Spray Systems maintenance and part inventory.

Performed Engineering responsibilities in accordance to Engineering Standards and code requirements for multi- pipe systems for district heating and cooling, chemical plants, jet fuel systems, nuclear facilities and the food and beverage industry. These systems were foamed and jacketed or insulated and secondary contained with the availability of leak detection.

Responsible for spool piece drawings and all components for the assembly of specialty piping systems.
