Additional Projects
Contributor to Perl CPAN Net:AOLIM project – fixed functionality of chat routines.
Contributor to BroadVision Software – wrote and submitted programs to allow for separate logging of multiple IM’s; not available before version 6.0.
Author of AmTerm – A useful VT interface for Veritas NetBackup, since their product only comes with a Windows GUI and a poor VT client for monitoring real-time activity.
Author of NetBackup Summary Report – A useful script that allows all pertinent details of backups to be reviewed at a glance. Includes ability to choose time frame, details required and summary section highlighting any failed backups. Derives all information from bpdbjobs command using all_columns output to maximize reporting functionality. Updated June 2009.
Updated CodeCharge TaskManager – Added archival of weekly tasks, task searches and automated weekly report generation for users. Improved backend database functionality.
Wrote rnetd - shared under GPL – Simple script-based floating-IP management software, allowing for the sharing of one IP between multiple hosts without the necessity of installing any third party net libraries. Low-level functionality makes it extensible between most Unices (Solaris/ HP/ SCO/ RH Linux, etc) without major revision (If any at all).
