Industrial works includes Cement and Auto factories, Power Houses, Shipyard, Pharmatecal and Pipe line of water supply works.


I had been working at Projects from pre-tendering and post tendering period. This helps in completion of projects in the estimated cost and time schedules.

Maintenance of approx.1, 700,000 sq ft of Hospital & Campus area and approx. 200 Medical Centres over an area of 250,000 sq miles in the country. Was also responsible for space planning, overview of design, materials and headed the project committee of FAS project at Super Highway. [This is the 1st International University in Pakistan.

Extension of hospital during its functioning, this requires safety and security of the hospital alongwith construction work.

Pakland Cement Ltd. Sind -Pakistan. Mar 1995 – Dec1996 Project Manager for the expansion and optimization project, works involved meticulous monitoring of 1600 Tons / day capacity Plant, coordination with all trade Contractors, Consultants and supervise the maintenance work during shut down.

Attock Cement. Baluchistan- Pakistan. Apr 1985 – Feb 1987 Project Manager, MacDonald Layton Company and responsible for 2000 Tons /day capacity cement plant for left over work by previous contractor, works includes Quantity take-off, preparation of revised BOQ as per ‘As Built’ conditions of 35 different structures, revised construction methodology of High Rise structures, such as Pre-Heater, Cement Silos etc.

Cement Plant. Kufa - Iraq. Mar 1976 – Sept.1977

Erection Engineer.[ Mônberg & Thorsen (Danish company)]. Responsible for erection of over 3000 Tons of Steel structures at the new cement plant, capacity. 6000 TPD, with 4 Kilns each of 1500 TPD. 3

Responsibilities included Quality Control, material procurement, Liaison with fabricated material suppliers in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Basra and site.

Pak - Suzuki Motor Plant. Feb 1989 – Oct 1992

Responsible for execution of Assembly, Paint and Welding Shops along with ancillary structures such as Water Tower, Canteen, Mosque, Gate House.

Sapphire Fibre Plant. Aug.1984 - Mar.1985

Site Agent, MacDonald Layton and Company. Responsible of site planning, organising, executing the work and handing over the same to Machinery Erection Contractor. Structures included Blow and Preparatory rooms, Spinning room of 12,000 spindles, Finishing and Service Bay areas. POWER HOUSE. Sind - Pakistan

Pipri Thermal Power Station. Dec.1981 - Jul.1984

In -charge of Steel Structure and Cladding works. MacDonald Layton and Company. [Project Consultant. Fitchner Germany]

Responsible for Fabrication, Sand blasting, Painting and Erection of 5000 Tons Steel structure items. Robertson (Scotland) cladding was used, approx. quantity 250,000 sq ft; works executed at Turbine House, Tank and Pipe Bay, Workshop, Fuel Tank,, Switch Room, Raw Water Basin. HOTEL. Abu--Dhabi, U.A.E.

Intercontinental Hotel. Aug.1982- Dec.1983

Project Manager of MacDonald Layton and Unicon.

[International Consultant Inc., USA Consultants /Architecture, 3DI Design] Responsible for 23 storied buildings works, which includes coffee shop, swimming pool, all external works, roads, landscaping, retaining walls, marine repair building, tennis courts and beach pavilion. BRIDGES. Pakistan.

Sukkur By-pass project at Sind -Pakistan, sub-contractor of Italian firm Astaldi Ferrocemento. Jan.1997- Sept.1998

Work executed included fabrication of liner casing 3.0 ft diameter, 45 feet Height, weight 2000 Tons and 6000 tons of steel reinforcement of bridges and piles.

Causeway Project of Steel Mill. Karachi -Pakistan 4

Oct.1977- Jan.1979

In charge and co-ordination Engineer of Gammon Pakistan Ltd with D.T.P. French Company as Prime Contractor. Responsible for all co-ordination works with the prime contractor. The turn key project involved Pre-casting of heavy pile caps and deck beams weighing 20 / 35 Tons and 35 ft length; responsible also for the embankment and stone pitching work. PRE-CASTING & STEEL STRUCTURE WORKS.Pakistan & Saudi Arabia.

Oct 1992 – Mar 1995

Project Director of Local Company.

Responsible for planning and execution of the World Bank financed project comprising of 28 miles of Pre-cast Conduit [3 M x 3 M x 10 M], 1.00 Miles of Twin Inverted Siphons [1620 mm diameter pipes each] and fore bay structure.

Pre-casting Box Culverts and Steel piping at Karachi Water & Sewerage Board Project.

Partner with local contractor. Responsible for bidding and execution of projects that involved sand blasting, painting, insulation and lying of 3.5 miles of 5 ft diameter twin steel pipeline along roadside, construction of culverts and landscaping.
