20 years Oil and Gas Production

10 years Refining/Chemical Production

Metal and Fiberglass Caesar II Pipe Stress Analysis, Including ASPEN FEA

PV Elite Vessel Design Analysis, Including WRC-107/297 Nozzle Load Checks

Deep Water Platforms Project Experience

Multiple TAR’s (Turnaround) as Project Manager

Budget Development

MOC Advisor (2 Years)

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Management of multiple engineering disciplines and vendor management from early phases of project development through completion.

Project Manager for nine TAR’s/Curtailments including 2012 TAR optimizing facility efficiency with a work force exceeding 220 personnel.

Managed Asset Integrity team for 46 platform field, including scheduling and interpretation of NDE on all pipeline and platform piping systems per ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8. Also managed inspection and repair of pressure vessels per API-510 and ASME VIII, Division 1 and 2.

Lead Engineer on platform vibration issue due to reciprocating engine balance problems. Co-designed structural support which eliminated problem

SKILLS:

Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Caesar 2 Pipe Stress Analysis Program, PV Elite Vessel Design Program, Six Sigma (In Process)

EXPERIENCE:

CHEVRON, Covington, LA 10/2007-04/2016

MP41 Operations Field Engineer (10/2007-04/2016)

Project Manager for nine TARs/Curtailments including six Turnarounds at Main Pass 41 and three for the South Pass Production Group.

Directed large complex turnarounds with budgets of up to $10,000,000, monitoring productivity and efficiencies to stay on budget.

Incorporated best practices to increase TAR efficiencies and effectiveness

Developed methods for clearing pipelines and maintaining them in open positions, monitored paraffin build-up.

Support of Glycol distillation units for removal of liquids from natural gas flow streams throughout the field

Set high performance goals and drive accountability for safety, scheduling, quality and productivity.

Assured equipment and operational procedural changes are executed via MOC process

Monitored and ensured compliance with all BSEE (Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, the equivalent of PSM standards in out-of-state waters) to prevent any Incidents of Non-Compliance.

Designed and installed equipment modifications, which increased reliability on Surge Pump seal system resulting in elimination of all seal failures to date.

Initiated use of new asset integrity techniques including use of Belzona fiberglass/epoxy wrap to repair piping and Verisep Float cell which eliminated need for vessel replacement.

Developed composite nozzle repair on glycol reboiler eliminating vessel/field shutdown while maintaining ASME vessel repair standards.

Worked on redesign of hot water heat transfer unit (used in glycol dehydration system). Heat exchanger worked in Solar gas turbine Waste Heat Recovery System.

As part of Asset Integrity Team, developed, monitored, and maintained all system considered hazardous processes (high pressure/temperature, close contact to high human occupancy areas, handling of hazardous chemicals used in crude and gas production)

Participated in RCA for failure of Leistritz multi-phase pump seal failure and Solar Centaur power turbine wheel blade failure.

Project Engineer on five Capital Projects

Planned, directed, scheduled and monitored quality of design and execution.

Co-Led H2S troubleshooting team at MP41. Used thermodynamic fundamentals to determine Lead Sulfide entrained in water stream was near its dew point and was flashing out at inlet to 2nd stage Solar centrifugal compressor, thereby developing a scale which deposited on the stator and impeller blades, reducing performance.

Managed seven well hooks ups.

Incorporated design of subsea jumper allowing reroute of production to different platform which resulted in lower well head pressure on upstream platform.

Coordinated efforts with contract environmental group in the development of new vessel cleaning techniques for vessels with limited access from outside.

Realized significant cost savings procedures in repair of drain lines of MP41N by utilizing Belzona wrapping instead of replacement of line.

SPPG Operations Field Engineer (2009 -2011)

Project Manager for three turnarounds

Led team growth to ensure compliance with all quality processes and company procedures including working with Structural support team in the evaluation and planning of platform repairs to address major structural member failure.

JACOBS ENGINEERING, New Orleans, LA 2004 – 2007

Project Engineer

Provided technical knowledge and execution support for deep water platform projects (Shell Auger and Ursa Princess)

Project Engineer for one of three modules to be installed on Ursa Princess for new Water Flood system

Worked on design team for sea water filtration and reverse osmosis unit to develop clean water flood flow for injection to production reservoirs.

Project Engineer for Orion (now Valero) Refinery

Turn Around Engineer for Orion Refinery

URS, New Orleans, LA 2001-2004

Design Engineer for S02 Scrubbing Units for Coal Fired Power Plants

Interfaced with management and other engineers to develop and maintain best design and operational practices to meet project specifications.

Pipe Stress Analyst (Caesar II) for Metal and Fiberglass systems.

PV Elite Vessel Code Analysis for vessel design.

OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

UNION CARBIDE, New Orleans, LA

Facility Engineer of Polypropylene Production Plant

Member of Project team for redesign of underwater Polypropylene pellet cutting device.

Ensure compliance with Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) to develop PSM programs that focus on functionality, efficiency and compliance in the Polypropylene manufacturing process.

Supported main chemical reactor in polypropylene plant which using propane gas as feed stock, developed a high temperature liquid flow of polypropylene, which was in turn fed to the underwater mass flow extruders. The liquid was solidified and fed to a rotating slicing unit which produced polypropylene pellets.
