Quality Engineer

Basic Duties:-

Coordinated quality assurance activities to ensure excellent relations with both internal and external customers. Monitored NAMC customer requirements and expectations for both Kawasaki and Toyota and supported Tier 1 customers. Provided support to other SEWS manufacturing facilities in new launch support as well as facilitated corrective action processes.

Primary quality contact for the production of Kawasaki, Toyota Mississippi Wire harness at the Kentucky Customer Service Center and at the customer locations.

Fully responsible for the Quality Engineering activities for future Wire Harness startups as well as Mass Production.

Provided and assured clear, concise communication between all SEWS locations and assigned Wire harness facilities and departments on matters of quality performance, requirements, and documents from multiple customer locations.

Responded and monitored customer requests, requirements, and inquiries from multiple locations. Follows up on all requests with the team of responsible SEWS personnel and the customer that initiated the contact.

Collected quality information at multiple customer facilities to establish proper quality standards by patrolling customer process and discovering areas of improvement to prevent customer claims.

Assured that the details of the actual facts and documents the customer claims when a customer claim or complaint is received is thoroughly investigated. Immediately takes appropriate steps to sort or rework stock at the customer location.

Assured that the appropriate SEWS manufacturing location is notified and assisted in creating Counter Measure and Sorting Standards to prevent Flow Out and tracking the sorted /reworked parts.

Ensured that information is recorded on the applicable documents and fed back to the responsible QA supervisor, engineer or customer lines patrol engineers. (PFS, Line Patrol Reports & End of Shift Report)

Coordinated the details of customer visits with the SEWS locations. Serve as host to accompany visitors to SEWS facility being visited.

Assisted in initiating parts approval with customers during manufacturing line change, new supplier or introduction of new parts/components.

Acted as the interface for New Model Product between all assigned customer plants and SEWS.

Travelled (25-35%) both domestically and internationally during new model launch.
