Supported this machining organization through the management of the Supply Chain Department with direct reports of 1 Manager and 7 other individuals that include Buyers, Planners, Expeditors and Receiving personnel.

Created uniform process of efficient material flow, as well as the new ordering fulfillment process.

Designed and implement uniform processes and procedures to maximize the company’s purchasing power.

Purchasing & Logistics Manager, DEC 2006 – DEC 2008 – Reason for leaving: Seeking higher level position and responsibility

Managed Purchasing Department, which included the coordination of 3 Purchasing Agents.

Led sourcing efforts, MRP planning, production planning, contractual negotiations and program management of all aspects of the company’s purchasing needs.

Directed 20 logistics personnel on 3 shifts, duties included processing of customer orders, shipping and receiving, and inventory control contained within two local warehouses.

Built a key network of suppliers utilizing all functions of the business and ensured interpretation of pricing and conditions from supplier proposals create a competitive advantage for the commodity and industry.

Bombardier Aerospace, Inc., Wichita, Kansas – JUN 1997 – DEC 2006 – Reason for leaving: Recruited by previous manager who went to Envision.

Purchasing Team Leader,

Responsible for the management of 13 system-purchasing agents. Material Logistics Supervisor of all major systems on Learjet products (Engines, Nacelles, Thrust Reversers, Avionics, Main landing gear, Cabin Control and Management Systems).

Managed inflow of production hardware, assemblies, system components and vendor cost recovery VCAR process.

Tracked and managed the quality aspect of components. Management of green certification of aircraft budgets as they relate to Material Logistics.

Proven Success: Developed and negotiated the first North American wide Bombardier Purchasing Credit Card Bank Agreement at Bombardier’s Montreal, Quebec headquarters. The new system targeted the elimination of non-value added Purchasing activity and process improvement. Estimated savings were over $5M per year. In process improvement throughout North America with potential rebates of $75M per year.

Purchasing Supervisor For Raw Material/Rotobin,

Managed 15 agents and was responsible for the procurement of aircraft production raw material, rotobin and electrical components for sub-assembly.

Monitored non-aircraft related products and services, including all capital acquisitions, computer hardware and software.

Responsible for the sourcing, procurement, contractual negotiation and program management of non-product (MRO) supplies, major service related suppliers, capital equipment acquisitions and independent labor agreements for the six Learjet facilities throughout the United States.

Proven Success: Negotiated eight contracts and outsourced the majority of the facility maintenance department at the Wichita Learjet site with an estimated cost savings of over $900K per year. Negotiated and implemented the first global contract (Aircraft Aluminum Extrusion) within Bombardier Aerospace. Savings estimated at $10M over five years.

Material Logistics Traffic & Customs Supervisor,

Directed 3 agents and all incoming and outgoing freight for Bombardier Learjet in North America.

Managed the selection of our primary carriers and developed customs of standards control system.

Proven Success: Supervised the negotiation, execution and program management of ten new long-term contracts averaging an overall savings to the company of fifteen percent plus per year. Two contracts encompassed the entire Bombardier Aerospace Group with an estimated savings of $3M per year.

Purchasing Specialist/Senior Buyer (Models 40, 45 & 60),

Led sourcing, MRP planning, contractual negotiations and program management of Avionic, Flight Management and Flight Control related systems.

Responsible for just-in-time delivery, high quality parts, competitive pricing, product improvements and bill of material cost and efficiency reductions.

Proven Success: Reduced the Model 40/45 bill of material by $45,000 per ship through pricing negotiations, cost avoidance and product improvement, constituting a $2.5M per year savings at their current build rate.
