Profile
With over 20 years of experience in graphic design and art direction, I have developed brand and corporate identities, websites, advertisements, annual reports, direct mail kits and sales collateral for clients in health, medical, education, retail, professional services, high-tech and nonprofit industries. I have been responsible for design concepts, overseeing projects, delegating assignments and intervening with service bureaus, printers and clients.
Experience
PRECAST/PRESTRESSED CONCRETE INSTITUTE (PCI), CHICAGO, IL 2005 • 2016 Director, Production, Publishing, and Art Direction PCI is one of the largest and most prestigious trade associations in the precast/prestressed concrete industry.
Managed both in house and freelance graphic designers and copy editors
Duties included overseeing the daily operation of an in-house art/production department, art direction and design of all magazines, marketing pieces, manuals, websites, electronic delivery materials, and publications.
Responsible for the procurement of, as well as acting as liaison for printers, and other vendors.
Acted as staff event and architectural photographer.
Re-designed the PCI Journal.
Established internal editing and proofing systems incorporating Adobe InCopy and Adobe Track Comments feature. This allowed for fewer mistakes and faster turn-around times.

Established effective backup regime and implemented software which eliminated redundant and/or noncurrent files being output for film, eliminating errors and nonchargeable time for re-dues.
