Performed the FEA on different types of vehicle with dummy under different conditions by using Hyperworks and LS-dyna

Including frontal crash (vehicle to rigid wall and car to car), roof crash (static load), side crash (IHSS barrier and rigid pole).

Connect the vehicle, seat, airbag, rigid wall, IHSS barrier, pole and dummy

Set up initial condition such as velocity and boundary condition

Run analysis by using LS-dyna solver

Research on FMVSS/Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (208,214 and 216)

Import the d3plot file into Hyperwork to present the results

Analyze the results, find the weak area and improve the model, such as thicken the shell, use composite material or add enhance structure.

Performed the FEA on a bicycle by using Hpermesh and Abaqus

Base on a bicycle create the 3D-CAD by using the NX/UG

Import the CAD file and mode the finite element by using Hypermesh

Simulate the load and boundary condition

Composite of Wind Turbine Design Project Nov 2015

Design a composite ply for wind turbine with CLT (classical composite theory)

Research on CLT and decide the load condition

Base on the equation and matrix, use MATLAB/GUI to code

Create the MATLAB/GUI (Graphic user interface) to test the composite, which can input arbitrary number of plies, arbitrary mechanical properties and random ply angle.

Iterate to get the better performance composite under different load condition

Design a high adjustable stool

Modified a regular air hydraulic stool by cutting the seat flat plate and make the back easy to remove and install.

Use UG/NX to create a stool model

Import the CAD to Hypermesh (Optistruc) to performed the FEA static analysis

Then use lathe and milling machine to manufacture
