Senior Video Engineer, Comcast National Video Deployment Engineer Organization

Supporting the Comcast Content Delivery Network with hardware design, implementation, and detailed network design diagram, field support, service readiness verification support, and post installation check. Worked with IP and QAM-based Video on Demand servers, Cisco Delivery and Networking Systems – TV / IP, Cisco Back Office, Sea Change VOD Back office, VOD Playlist, and Next Generation Video Control Plane which included the consolidation of ~100 sites to CLOUD-based data centers throughout North America. Included in this is development support of Windows/LINUX based Java applications in response to required thread activities associated with load balancers and validations scripts written in Python that make use of ODBC MySQL and HTTP API interfaces.

Established and maintained a "bulletproof install" implementation strategy for all Smart Stream Device Manager (SDM) releases under Windows / Linux and provided engineering level support of setup execution in areas of upgrades, clean installs, via RPM process. Worked on integration of Comcast VPN access for Motorola equipment along with integration of TV Guide and Verizon IPG along with SeaChange VOD into Motorola Headend (RF / IP / Video) Development Lab infrastructure.

Provided engineering level support of setup execution in areas of upgrades, clean installs, and maintenance (un-install, repair, re-install) for SDM upgrade in support of Windows and Linux OS platforms. Participated in updates required to the DAC and RADD installation and setup procedures. Provided for the on-going platform development and evolution using Java / C / C++ under Linux for DAC, RADD and SDM products as well as qualification of new hardware and operating system combinations needed for potential next generation access control systems (e.g., RF / IP 2-Way, OCAP and TRU2WAY).
