Cisco has launched CRT project to transform and implement their current Customer Register Module from Oracle apps TCA architecture to the non-apps customized design to improve the performance. Also CRT is design to use SOLR indexing to improve the response time for all the searches.

CRT system is the centralized customer database for all the Cisco customer and sites. All the applications in Cisco will subscribe to CRT to send their request for customer creation and search. Auto Engine will be built to accept all the subscriber system request and match it to existing database and if it is not able to map with existing customers repository then it will create a new unregister party.

Another big module of CRT is ODM. Role of ODM (Operational Data Management) starts with Unregistered parties creation where ODM will provide the interface and mechanism to ODM analysts to cleanse these new parties and register them to be used for other subscribers.

Contribution/Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for understanding the current CR system and discuss the new enhancements with Functional and Business teams to design and develop new system.

2.Also responsible to discuss with cross flow team and build the database design for ODM operations for CRT.

3.Created a provision (pl/sql program) to populate and sync huge data volume in SOLR indexes with the SLA of 10 Second.

Project Description:

NGCCRM (Next Generation Commitment Compliance & Revenue Manager) is a tool for managing adjustments related to non-standard deals. Adjustments are applied in the form of deferrals when a deal is found to have not met all the conditions for revenue recognition. These deferrals are released when the underlying conditions are met. In NGCCRM the adjustments are made using Reason codes, where each reason code represents a specific condition/requirement not met. The amount of adjustment can be percentage of the Order Line amount or a specific dollar value.

These adjustments (deferrals or releases) for revenue, cogs, and bookings impact the overall revenue, cogs, and bookings numbers. This reporting is done by means of EDW and to enable this reporting, data from NGCCRM is read into EDW. The data from EDW is further propagated to OIC system, which is the system for calculating commissions for the sales force. Data for OIC is also fed from OTM.

Enabler 3.0 is about enablement of new features in existing NGCCRM application. The major functionality includes enablement of Adjustment (CM/DM/RMAs) functionality. This solution involved changes in TBA processing and reporting, to consider Adjustments for deferral calculations.

Contribution/Responsibilities:

1.SME on TBA (template based Adjustments) processing, and implemented functionality of CM/DM & RMA adjustment on TBA deferrals as a part of Enabler3.0 Q3FY14 release.

Project Description

The Ministry of Defence (MOD), Sultanate of Oman has launched Nebras project to replace the current core Financial and Procurement systems with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system - Oracle Applications E-Business Suite. The overall requirements of any Ministry of Defence tend to be extensive covering a range of functional areas from finance to procurements to inventory to logistics.

The project includes implementation of Oracle Applications E-Business Suite covering Financials & Supply chain management covering the following modules:

1.Supply Chain Management (Purchasing and Sourcing)

2.Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management)

There are Bolt On modules to cater the requirement which can not be full fill by Oracle Application. Detail of major Bolt-on is as follow

1.Custom Clearance : To cater the administration part in clearing the purchase order shipments received from overseas by sea or air

2.Freight : To recording all overseas freight invoices. It currently maintains 16 freight registers (10 for air and 6 for sea).

3.Insurance : For Recording the information related to Insuring the fixed assets and purchase order shipments for Ministry of Defence

4.Letter of Credit : For Recording the details of Letter of Credit for Purchases or contracts entered with suppliers

5.Market Research : To record the information about enquiry from services (Different Forces) about specific products or services and to record supplier’s details. This module should also record the specific products or services which the supplier deals with. This is the only entry point for all suppliers creation which gets approve through workflow and the interface to AP

6.Utility Bills : for recording meter readings and to generate Utility bills for the services i.e. Telephone, Electricity that MOD provides to the contractors.

7.Tender Sales : This is to address all the requirements related with tender execution and not address by Oracle sourcing Module. Like selling of tenders and documents, Re-Tendering process, sorting out the eligible suppliers and recording different miles stones in this process.

To cater these requirements number of Interface and Conversions are created from legacy system i.e. Purchase order, Payroll, Supplier, Customer, Requisition, Invoice Etc.

Contribution

Understanding the requirement with client and Satyam functional team for Conversion, Interfaces, and bolt on Modules and for reports.

Development of almost 140 Reports, 40 Oracle forms, 5 Workflows and 10 alerts for different Bolt and Oracle modules. It includes database design in most of the Bolton’s development.
