Forest Park Medical Center October 2010 to Present Dallas, Texas

Forest Park was a chain of physician-owned luxury hospitals in North and Central Texas. The hospitals operated in Dallas, Frisco, Southlake, Ft Worth, San Antonio, and Austin. System wide the hospitals accounted for 330 beds, 80 operating rooms and 44 ICU rooms. Director of IT Applications January 1, 2012-Present Direct and lead a department of 15 application analysts, data analysts, and application support staff responsible for Clinical Applications, Business Applications, Business Intelligence, Application Architecture, and Integration Development for all covered entities within the Forest Park System.

• Project manager for application implementation team into 5 new hospitals. Coordinated construction planning, vendor contracts, procurement, and testing phases of master project. Implementation team coordinated on site installations, application training, and go live support for hospital openings.

• Business Intelligence - Developed analytics program by creating a proprietary Data Warehouse using SQL server. We used Qlikview to provide dashboards for financial, departmental, statistical, and quality areas.

• Provide project oversight and resources for Meditech upgrade from 5.64 platform to 5.66 PP10. Entire application portfolio was tested consisting of 180+ applications and interfaces.

• Redesigned our interface engine using Corepoint software. This allowed cost savings from licenses and better efficiency in our one-many interface connections.

• Provided leadership in the development of an electronic nursing board using Meditech and Iatric systems. Allowed automated system updates/flags and discontinued use of traditional white boards. Integrated with quality measures and ordering system.

• Oversaw the implementation of the Meditech Nursing and Bedside Verification modules across three hospitals using 2 nursing informaticists for design, testing and training. Brandon McDowell

• Initiated an enterprise wide workflow optimization to establish standard workflow diagrams and processes for departments and new hires. Outcome was a development of numerous scripts that helped workflow efficiency or lessened FTE requirements.

• Provided strategic oversight and planning for the change of two significant legacy systems and the implementation of their replacements. Three of the new hospitals opened with new perioperative systems (Surgical Information Systems) and was designed from the legacy system.

Texas Health Denton is a 255-bed hospital serving the North Texas region. It is a certified chest pain center, serves as a primary stroke center, and houses a Level III NICU. Project Coordinator and CPCS Coordinator

• Lead for project team for Meditech system upgrade, versions 5.4.1, 5.6.1 and 5.6.2.

• IT liaison for T-system integration project for ER documentation system to Meditech. Project designed to interface the two software systems for continued care after admission.

• Developed and conducted facility training as needed. Create a monthly re-training program for continuing education material that would go into employees personnel file. Evaluated and analyzed a cost benefit analysis for possible acquisition of new clinical software.

• Coordinated all transition operation activities related to the merger of Denton Community Hospital and Texas Health Resources. Tracked and managed the project using Microsoft Office Project and communicated with the transition teams using Microsoft Project Web.

• Maintained Transition web page using Dreamweaver. Updates of new decisions and happenings involving the Transition were provided for all employees to view.
