1996 to present Marathon Oil – London (UK)

2011 to present Senior Oil trader – North Sea/Mediterranean

Spot trading of Marathon’s West of Shetlands Foinaven equity oil production.

Spot trading of Marathon’s Norwegian Alvheim equity oil production (2011-2014) and also for Det norske during post asset acquisition phase (2015).

Preparation of commercial terms and bidding process for long-term sales of Forties, Libyan and Kurdistan equity crude oil production.

Establishing crude oil valuations to market, preparation and negotiation of contract documentation for both spot and term sale transactions.

Liaise with other crude oil traders to gain market intelligence.

Drafting and negotiation of diverse enabling agreements for crude oil sales including contracts of affreightment and lifting agreements.

Managing of external interfaces with governmental energy departments and national oil companies with regard to crude oil marketing.

Handling of internal interfaces with regard to crude oil sales, including asset team, accounting, tax, legal and marketing groups.

Marketing of Brae gas sales (North Sea) following internal re-organisation (2015 to date).

2008 to 2011 Senior Oil trader – West Africa

Spot trading of Marathon’s West African Alba condensate production

Comprising of marketing and execution of FOB, CFR and DES sales to North and South America, Europe, West Africa and Far East.

2004 to 2008 Senior LPG trader – West Africa

LPG Trader responsible for marketing Marathon’s West African Alba LPGs (Equatorial Guinea).

LPG Project start-up – drafted commercial terms to enable long-term LPG sales.

Setting up of bidding process and contract form for sales.

Dealt with all commercial contract matters with Buyer during term sale.

1996 to 2004 Senior Natural Gas trader – North Sea

Spot trader for all of Marathon’s Brae (North Sea) gas business.

Trading of spot gas volumes at the NBP and beach volumes.

Purchase and sale of entry capacity to match shipped gas volumes.

1987 to 1996 British Gas plc – Reading (UK)

Principal Commercial Co-ordinator (UK Northern North Sea and West of Shetlands)

Responsible for all commercial issues relating to BG’s offshore assets in UK Northern North Sea and West of Shetlands, including:-

Transportation and processing agreements

Farm-in/farm-outs

Asset acquisition and disposals

Unitisation and joint operating agreements.

Lead negotiator for the drafting, negotiation and execution of the BG-operated Armada fields’ unitisation and unit operating agreement.

Commercial representative for the drafting, negotiation and execution of the ExxonMobil-operated Nevis Field and the Conoco-operated Britannia Field.
