INTRODUCTION OF COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

CHANDKA MEDICAL COLLEGE

( Chandka medical College has been upgraded to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical university )

Chandka Medical College was established in 1973 in northern part of province of Sindh, Pakistan in 1973. This College is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for under graduation and post graduation, College of Physicians and Surgeons for Post graduation, Liaquat University of medical and Health Science Jamshoro Pakistan for under graduation and Post graduation and by General Medical Council of UK.

CHANDKA MEDICAL COLLEGE HOSPITAL LARKANA

The attached hospital is 1100 bedded hospital having all clinical side fields like Internal medicine, Surgery, Nephrourology, Gynae. Obs. Eye, ENT, Pediatrics and Pediatric surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Pulmonology, Cardiology Psychiatry, Radiology, Dental Section, Physiotherapy and 24 hours Casualty.

NEPHROUROLOGY WARD

Nephrourology ward is combination of Nephrology and Urology. It is 68 bedded wards having separate operation theatre complex. 13 dialysis machines with 2 RO systems, full fledged state of the art clinical and pathological laboratory, 2 ultrasound machines 2 X- ray machines, OPD section Approximately more than 300 dialysis sessions are done per month. All Nephrological procedures are done like peritoneal dialysis, Renal Biopsy, and catheterization for Hemodialysis. Among these beds 24 beds are exclusively for Nephrology patients. All types of endoscopic procedures and cutting surgeries are being done.

Apart from me (head of department) following faculty member work in the ward.

i) Associate Professor Urology 2 Nos.

ii) Assistant Professors Urology 2 Nos.

iii) Resident Medical Officers 12 Nos.

iv) Nursing and Para medical staff

NATURE OF JOB:

1) Steering and directing activities of Nephrourology ward as Head of the Department.

2) Working as decision maker in the department of Nephrourology.

3) Teaching Nephrology to under graduates and Post graduate students of Chandka Medical College Larkana.

4) Treating indoor patients (24 beds) as a single consultant.

5) Attend patients in emergency and in OPD

6) Do emergency Peritoneal Dialysis

7) Do Renal biopsy

8) Pass subclavian / femoral catheter for Hemodialysis.

9) Attend Clinco pathological Conferences in the College.

10) Work with Histo pathologist for diagnosis on biopsy slides.

11) Coordinating with consultants of other fields of specializations such as MEDICINE, SURGERY, CARDIOLOGY, NEUROLOGY, NEUROSORGERY, CHEST MEDICINE located at Chandka Medical College Larkana and various other national and international hospitals and institutes, particularly for management of patients and generally for teaching of post graduate and undergraduate students.

12) As permanent member of Academic Council, my Job requires coordination with other members of academic council and decision making with regard to academic activities and others at Chandka Medical College Larkana.
