Provide instructions to HVAC personnel on activities relating to Air & Heat systems maintenance to ensure and acceptable work performance level.
Responsible for leading a crew of subordinate employees, subcontractors, and/or labor broker personnel. Installs, repairs, maintains all HVAC equipment within assigned area of responsibility. Ensures that all work orders are completed effectively and within an appropriate time frame. Coordinates work team activities with other team leaders and management personnel as necessary to complete assigned work in the most effective manner with minimal disruption to camp operations and other work projects. Maintains inventory of supplies, parts, tools and equipment as appropriate. Communicates status of work projects to senior personnel. Primarily responsible for air conditioning units serving large number of computer systems in four-story facility known as Perfume Palace. Maintained 400-ton screw chiller, 14 30-ton package units and 20+ small split systems. Oversaw daily activities of two helpers.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Maintained zero downtime while removing and replacing two 120-ton AC units and while replacing analog with electronic actuator controls.
Earned three “coins” recognizing strong job performance during this tenure, including working within heavily attacked areas.
